Not so long ago, the Democrat Party used to be the party of working class people and worker's unions, supporting worker's standing up for the individual rights against employers by staging strikes to disrupt the business.

But now there is a situation were that is totally flipped around.
Working-Class Americans Are Standing Up for Themselves—and the Left Is Denouncing Them | Opinion (msn.com)

Could this be yet another sign of the beginning of a reorientation in politics? (A so-called "Barry Goldwater moment") With Trump's first presidential campaign, large swaths of the working class (especially in the Rust Belt region) threw their support to him.
Is this a sign that the Democrat Party position is becoming too elitist and decadent? (decadent on numerous social issues, while ignoring the core of what they previously held as core values)

Numerous workers in the transportation sector are going on strike because their employers are demanding all their workers have to get vaccinated.
Twenty of thirty years ago this would have been clearly seen as a case of worker exploitation, worker's rights being trampled on by big employers who have most of the power in the relationship.

So one might expect it would be the Democrats who would be the ones to stand up for these workers? No, the total opposite.

I remember when Reagan fired the air traffic controllers for going on strike. He was considered by many to be the worst possible human being on the planet. I mean back when Trump was just a 30-something rich kid banging hookers in his dad's Cadillac... and a Democrat so he bang anybody he wanted.

Can you imagine Biden the union buster?? Just the thought makes me giddy.

An employer forces their workers to risk their health and have something injected into their bodies, and the worker can't even sue the employer if something goes wrong? That sounds Orwellian and totalitarian, definitely a harsh sort of working environment where workers have no individual rights.

I realize you may not be able to see this, so imagine it this way, imagine that the biggest corporation in America developed its own very controversial medical treatment and then demanded that all their workers take it, even though it could cause severe side effects, or sometimes death in extremely rare cases. The corporation calculates that it will reduce employee sick time and increase profits, but it carries a medical cost to the workers.
Most people would say this corporation was treating their workers like slaves or animals, that they were not being given the dignity of human beings. Where a private workplace and capitalism is transformed into totalitarian rule. That corporate profits were being put above the lives and rights and medical safety of human beings.

This is perfectly very much the type of thing that the Left would have said and been outraged about. If it had been something other than this particular vaccine they are pushing.

Let me help you and correct your post for you; I think you unintentionally committed some typos. I'm sure you meant "An employer forces their workers to PROTECT their health and have some SAFE, EFFICACIOUS, AND FREE, FABOULOUS AND MODERN VACCINES injected into their bodies." There. All good, now. I'm sure that's what you meant, because as an intelligent poster, you must know that the real risk for someone's health, is going unvaccinated against this dangerous virus that kills 1 to 2% of people and mains 30%, when the vaccine kills something like 0.00002% if not fewer. You must be able to know that 1% to 2% is thousands of times worse than 0.00002%, not to forget the 30% of survivors who come out of it with at least one of her major organs, damaged. OK, so, your post if fixed for you. You're welcome.

Oh, and the silly people who are going on strike? The Darwin Award will eventually take care of at least some of them. Humankind's gene pool will say thanks.

As for the partisan angle, I couldn't care less. Go complain to the Democrats. Fortunately I'm not one of them.

I am vaccinated but if I was in the position, I would strike as well. Stinken" Unions won't do it! Bring this totalitarian move to an end!
