Are fine with the government elbow deep in a woman's hooha.

From birth control to a law passed in Virginia that requires a woman seeking an abortion to have an invasive ultra sound literally penetrating her to get the image. Why aren't the policy positions of this party more consistent?

Get the government out of our lives concerning the Dept of Education, EPA, Dept of Energy.. but the government needs a in peoples live so it can protect us from the gay marriage menace, junk food in school lunches, and people getting contraception. Why can't the government just stay out of peoples lives?

you posted this in the wrong section. It is an opinion post

I see that by the words you choose that you have visited all the usual liberal blogs; well done

what you choose to omit is the C O N S T I T U T I O N and how what you so vociferously support all go wee wee on the Constitution

Perhaps, but the uproar over contraception, the concern about Michelle Obama's healthy kids policies, and the VA law are current events. I gather you support the government legislating a woman's vagina health?

You're missing the point on the school lunch thing. I don't think anyone believes it shouldn't be regulated. I'm glad there are laws so that spoiled milk isn't offered to my kid. It's that this latest issue of home lunches being inspected went way to far and some liberals are fine with it.

I don't think you'll find many people that want government out of our lives 100%. I'm a die hard conservative and I'm glad to send in SOME tax money to get basic mutual needs covered. Basic is just taking on a whole new meaning. It's got to stop.

    you see

that is what the talking points need you to say

it is about the govt dictating church policy

the WH memo says to try and make it about contraception

if it was the govt saying no more crosses allowed would it then be about trying to save trees and the church is aganst saving trees?

    no sir

this is yet another over-reach and "the one" doubling down on the already unconstitutional obamcare

I do not know why you sit like a lemming supporting govt over-reach

Some lib public education Nazi terrorizes a 4-year old child and liberals want to blame conservatives?

    That's sick.

I agree. I like to hope the school lunch stuff is not about 98% of the kids who carry their own lunches to school, but that 2% that come packing NOTHING but junk food, because as much as the personal freedom/liberty crowd wants to squawk that meal not only effects the kid who ate it, but the entire class room as that child is a million times more likely to have issues effecting the class than if he ate a proper lunch.

I liked the conservative folks better when they were complaining about how the Catholic church might tell the president (JFK) what to do.

We've come so far, now conservatives are worried about the president telling the Catholic church what to do.

Freedom and small government brought to you by the Republicrats who brought you

    The Department of Homeland Security
    The Patriot Act

    and

    National Defense Authorization Act

Both parties are big government parties, but only one lies about it.

So you really don't understand the argument? The Constitution protects church from government, not government from the church. Both arguments are valid. It's only liberal misconceptions that have changed.

They both lie about it. The only difference is the rapidity with which they push America towards the cliff.

Get real, small/limited government has always been a party platform for the GOP. The DNC makes no such claims, we all know many on the left have absolutely no issues growing the size and scope of government.

So yea, they come in two flavors bad and worse, in no particular order.

And with your whining you cleverly avoided addressing the hypocrisy of the right.

They want less government, but they sure don't mind the government forcing women to have ultrasounds, cutting out contraceptives and poking their noses in people's bedrooms. Crazy, no? I sure think so.

If I were packing my child's lunch and didn't have any fruit or a drink on hand to include, I think I'd appreciate knowing that the school would make sure my child had fruit or milk if they wanted it. Or if my child forgot her lunch at home, I'd know she would have lunch without me having to leave work to go home and get it and take it to her.

Not sure at all why I'm quoted here, it is part of their platform. Go back and read the post in context, maybe it'll all come together for you.
