The States and their jurisdiction to enact and enforce.

As a matter of fact I am trying to be a standup comedian. I'm hoping Bragg commutes Trump's felonies to misdemeanors like he does for his home town homies.

 

Bragg will never do that. He's trying hard to appeal to the far left. He's like to be Governor of New York some day. He's been letting violent criminals go, and that isn't enough. So "getting Trump" is his next ploy.

The guy got into Harvard and graduated. Most of us peons would be pleased with that and would be looking to make an honest living. That's not good enough for him. He has to turn the riff- raff and scum lose as a "social justice warrior." The riff-raff and scum look upon him as a sugar daddy while the honest citizens hope they don't end up as a statistic. Why honest citizens vote for a guy like him is beyond my comprehension.

 

If DA Bragg can forgive multiple felonies at a time and turn murderers loose on the street why can't he forgive a former President for bookkeeping crimes?

 

Because, silly, the former president is the target of the purge!

 

The term 'backfire' comes to mind. DA Bragg may be helping Trump sneak back into the White House.

 

Maybe. The best laid plans of mice and men, and all that. Who knows. Or maybe Tyson is a better metaphor with his "everyone has a good plan until they get a punch in the nose".
