Excellent speech! I wasn't a fan of Sen. Collins before today, but I am now.

Couple that with Sen. Graham's outrage, but it took a woman to tell it like it is in a cohesive logical manner. If dems were smart they would see the handwriting on the wall. These recent events have united republicans against dems and their phony antics.

    Thanks for the transcript.

It was historically retarded in its rationalization being that Brat "pickled liver" Kavanagh lied his butt off under oath multiple times over a period of years.

I don't agree with all of her votes but Susan Collins seems to be a woman of integrity. She's not blindly partisan.

It may have ended her senate seat in 2020. Maine has drifted blue

Apparently Maine residents would like to know why she believed a guy, who told countless lies on his testimony, when he stated Roe was settled law?

You want links to my opinion?

Wonder where the due process was when she was demanding Franken resign.

I am allowed to have a opinion, correct?

    It was a good speech.

    But, in historical terms:

It would only rate a distant 2nd to the Best Speech ever delivered by a Female Senator from Maine.

Margaret Chase Smith's "Declaration of Conscience" Speech (1950) was exponentially superior.

My mother was a personal friend of Margerate Chace Smith.

Whatever happened to that Democratic party ? Today's Democratic party isn't so democratic, more like a third world circus.

We have three women speaking out about sexual assault. We now have numerous classmates and former roommates telling us that he is lying about his drinking and lifestyle. When many of these people tried to contact the FBI, they were ignored. This FBI investigation is a sham. We even have writings by him and his friends clearly showing his drinking lifestyle.

Presumption of innocence is great for not putting people in jail, but it isn't used everywhere. SNL made their point the best. Would you let someone in your house who might be a criminal? The Supreme Court is a lifetime appointment and we need to be certain the people we are selecting are honorable moral people because they are charged with interpreting our constitution in an unbiased and fair way and impact the lives of tens of millions by their decisions for decades.

Got proof? of course not! But since when does proof matter to a Democrat.

Two have in essence walked there charges so far back that they fell off a cliff. The other has no evidence worthy of the name.

You need to clarify why they walked back their charges. There are a lot of possible reasons for this. For an event that happened 40 years ago, the only evidence we have is witness testimony and rapists don't usually let people watch. What we can determine is whether Brett is telling the truth about his drinking and a lot of people who lived with him and went to school with him say he's lying. A 1 week FBI investigation that ignores most of the witnesses isn't enough to select a Supreme Court justice for life. It would be a disaster if a rapist became a Supreme Court justice. We need to be as sure as possible. I won't vote for someone with a 50% chance of being a rapist, or even a 30% chance.

I guess it's up to the person doing the hiring, but this old trick of pulling five or ten women out of the democratic closet to start claiming they were groped, harrassed, raped, blah blah blah is so common that it's now boring and predictable.

In other words, it doesn't matter if there is no presumption of innocence now. These women the democrats constantly use have no credibility outside of the democratic bubble. They might as well not even open their mouths to lie. Just kinda trot them out there for the choir so that they can use these women as a reason that other people should not vote for a republican.

You find them credible and convincing, and that's where their utility lies.

Its funny you talk about presumption of innocence and then claim that all these women are part of an orchestrated conspiracy without evidence. Again, presumption of innocents is only for courts and doesn't apply to job interviews.
