National ID Cards. And Federal files with your name on it that contains your birth records, your employment history and your health and criminal histories... your psychological profile all in one file- YOU. Any government official can enter an ID number and know ALL ABOUT YOU.

You have given up nearly every personal freedom for free cough syrup.

This is dedicated to the most of you who doubt me- I AM a Republican (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)!

    THREAD COMMENCE!

They can already do this. I know this as I once worked in the fraud prevention and detection unit for a major credit card company. With just your ss# i could know every address you have ever had, current and past vehicles you have owned (make, model, year, color, amount paid), houses you own or have owned, boats you own or have owned, everyone that lives in your household (names, ss#, ethnicity, income, ect), credit history, delinquent accounts, credit lines, past relationships you may have had, ect...

And it was all instant, took about 45 seconds for a consumer profile to load. If credit card companies have this then the government has something 500x better. Cheers.

Honestly I'm pro-putting everything in one thing. I mean it's so much more convenient then. Imagine your Driver's License having all your credit cards, debit cards, licenses of all types, your health information like allergies if you're in need of medical help, your general information.

I know privacy nuts will hate it. I just think it makes everything sound easier (assuming there could be good enough security around such a system).
