The United States is a mixed market capitalist nation. While some consider the United States on the brink of becoming a socialist nation, or already a socialist nation, the fact that we still have a significant but declining private sector that controls the factors of the production is what maintains our capitalist roots. Granted, we are not a free market capitalist system that merely allows government to intervene in regards to private contracts and ownership, and tax collection. However, because government isn't the primary manager of the factors of production, the United States' economy remains under the system of mixed market capitalism.

Which I would call Corporatism, which is a form of socialism. Not capitalism.

Nice thread, Dr. Right. Somehow people cannot see that the entire system is rigged for the benefit of the elite through central economic planning. Here's a little cartoon from the early 20th century that might help them understand.

But what type of "private property"? There is property in the products of labor, and then there is property in government issued privileges. These two forms of property conflict with each other. The privilege holder can demand rent for opportunities he didn’t create, opportunities that existed naturally. So the privilege holder doesn’t need to produce because he can appropriate the production of others, which violates their right to the property of their labor.

    Agreed. Government-issued privileges are unConstitutional.

And who decides what is Right and what is unconstitutional? You?

If so, what's the purpose of the Supreme Court ... ?

The Constitution says very little about "privileges" and for very good reason. When written, the US had just won a revolutionary war against a European King who had a great many privileges - like plundering the colonies ...
