No. I disagree. Without money supply increases the value of the dollar would increase (deflate) as the economy grows. That is a better result for everyone other than debtors like government. Government fears deflation and convinces you to fear it too. You and I shouldn't fear it. We should demand it. Remember the gold and silver standard?

I'm not convinced Bank of America has your best interest in mind. They are looking of for themselves and probably loading up on gold bullion like most all other banks in the world today.

All paper currencies eventually become defunct. Your bank knows that.

I mention real estate because my main stock in trade is real estate law related issues as an attorney.
It was simply the easiest example that came to mind, but you've named the other easiest examples: Tuition and healthcare. They have similar reasons: Someone is artificially paying for services but not forcing the cost of those services to remain at level and instead allows them to profligately inflate while still ponying up the dough.
Schools have the underwater basket weaving degree issues, healthcare has the "why are we making single men pay for insurance that has provisions to provide them female birthcontrol just in case there are some weird body swapping genie shenaningans" issues. Note: Those are simply illustrations of the concepts involved, not an attempt at an exhaustive list of issues.

Printing money is the lowest common denominator with these issues. Why tuition go up? Because printer go brrrrrr. Why healthcare up? Because its subsidized by insurance to pay for those who refuse or are unable to pay, and insurance is now required to cover things its users have no need of limiting their options and making them offer big boat plans that have big boat costs.
Why real estate ****ed? Because printer go brrrr, just like in 08.

There are other issues that need addressing, but to claim that monetary inflation, the profligate printing of the money supply and doling it out in subsidies for basically anything and anyone, has nothing to do with it is just incorrect.

I'm not "cherry picking", I'm posting an article for everyone's perusal. Nobody said you had to agree with it.

Also, right leaning sources have been predicting a recession for nearly 3 years and it hasn't happened so which do you think is more likely to be correct? Who has a better track record?

Many left wing sources predict a recession but you cherry picked what you wanted to cherry pick.

I didn't cherry pick anything. This can across my news feed and I thought it was interesting and that others might want to see/comment on it.

I was right, you sure are commenting a lot.

LOL. That's because your news feed was either from liberal sources or you chose to ignore the news feeds saying we are headed to a recession, AKA cherry picking.

Oh, yes I do. You post cherry picked stuff to make Biden look good, especially since he's not doing so good.

A simple "yes" would have sufficed.

I look forward to it dropping down to 2-3% If not, Biden's chances look slim as he has slow walked the military aid to Ukraine to the point where Ukraine may not be able to win until after the election.

However, like Hillary helped cause Trump to be President, Trump may cause Biden to remain President.

What is normal monetary expansion? What does it accomplish?

Hmm, I thought we simply disagreed and life moves on?

From the time of Volcker until very recently, monetarism has been the operating theory of the Fed when it comes to money supply. The Fed would on average increase the money supply about 4% a year, and whatever wasn't taken up in economic growth showed up in inflation, which is why we've had inflation averaging around 2-3 percent a year since the 1980's. Or at least until Monetarism was overthrown.

As Joe Biden said, "“Milton Friedman isn’t running the show anymore.”
