I read a similar book called Men on Strike. It touches on the subject but focuses on the result. According to the writer, men or giving up on college, work and marriage. More and more, men are dropping out. Going on strike. According to some studies, about 25% of the American male population have decided to drop out.

The result is that men are taking menial jobs, staying home with the parents, not marrying and just not advancing. The result is that women are also going it alone. They hit the age of 30 and not married so they have a kid by themselves. With no husband, women turn to government to help them with the cost of raising children. Government fills the role the husband once held. Also because single women can't afford that many children, the birth rate is low. We are reaching below replacement rates which will put a burden on Social Security in the future.
