Well...the Jet Stream was just in the right place and the warm air from the Gulf mixed with the cold front from the north and we had some pretty bad storms...just got power back...been about two and a half days. Its getting to be a common spring thing here in Alabama...every time it rains its a cause for worry. Trees knocked down, poer lines down, cars damaged, buildings damaged...typical spring weather.
Just planted corn last weekend. The potaoes are coming up and I am getting ready for warm weather crops. Highs in the lower seventies and nights in the upper fourties and lower fifties.

We have had near perfect weather for gardening the last couple of weeks. The lows in the fifties and highs in the seventies. Just about have my summer garden planted.
slightly below average temps this spring, very mild which is great for doing the spring yard work and my tomatoe and herb garden is going nuts. Already got 2 nice size tomatoes on one bush. Last couple of mornings were almost chilly for this area down in the low 50's. I am holding off on my pressure washing till the temps get back up to S Carolina normal which is hotter than 2 rats doing the dirty deed in a wool sock
A lovely day today here in Bolton. Bright sunshine and blue skies. The field right in front of my house is covered in dandelions, with the odd buttercup here and there, making it bright orange in the bright sunlight. The field also has lots of white butterflies on it. I have a great view from my living room and bedroom windows. It's not scorching hot but is a pleasantly warm 62F.
