He has no moral values if you seen the Family Guy you know what I'm talking about. This joker spreads hate on an adult cartoon show and people love him for his dumb jokes. He's dumbing down america and promoting Atheism all over hollywood today. It seems that people who support gay rights are also Atheists.

    Yep, and on FOX.

Strange lineup, super-conservative pundits and then super (socially) liberal cartoons. They can make your head spin.

Family Guy was the best show on TV a few years back. The current season isn't so great. Maybe the show has run its course.

American Dad is still pretty good.

Seth McFarlane is awesome... not because he's an athiest but because he's so talented.

American Dad was NEVER good. It's like the trash bin for failed FG jokes. South Park hit bottom a few years ago, but FG always cracks me up.

Because Family Guy is real life, and it's impossible to support gay rights if you believe in any kind of god.

I just don't get you people today with all these TV shows you all claim are wonderful. I grew up in the 80s. I guess that's why i'm this way. I grew up watching shows like Threes Company, Growing Pains, the Cosby Show, Family ties. Shows that actually had respect for the audience. it was not about gay jokes and farts and cartoons. The only cartoons I watched were Ghostbusters, Mario Bros, Heman, transformers, Gi Joe and even those cartoons always had a moral lesson at the end. This Joke Seth Mcfarlane has a bunch of idiots following him. These days I just watch reruns of leave it to beaver or all in the family.

I agree about South Park. I think it peaked about 5 years ago. I think FG peaked about 4 years ago. I didn't start watching American Dad until a few years ago. I think it's McFarlane's best work.

There sure are many Christians and Churches that support gay rights. How is that possible? Are you saying that they're not really Christian?

None of the shows you mentioned are good. As a matter of fact, they are HORRID and good example of the downing down and dumbing down of america today. we should have more christian cartoons or tv sitcoms. the family guy is for idiots. and any church that supports homo is not a real christian church. Reason I left the wannabe churches 13 years ago.

There is a possibility that I may not have been entirely serious.

Thank you. I'm not good with sarcasm. I guess your nickname should have been a tip. :blankstare:

Wait, what? Three's Company, Growing Pains, The Cosby Show and Family Ties are cerebral television, while American Dad, Family Guy and South Park are dumb? Is this a joke.

The last three shows I mentioned definitely have fart and poop jokes, but they are intentionally and knowingly silly -- which is a joke itself -- and it's unusual for them. These shows are usually very smart and make use of mature comedy, including satire, sarcasm, parody, double entendre, irony and many other things that stupid people don't get.

I'm sorry that so many churches suppor "the homo" but it's a trend that shows no sign of stopping, so it's best to get used to the evil homos who want to do their evil homo things like ... decorate and stick things in unapproved holes.

You mentioned Seth McFarlane. Do you really think he's stupid? To me, he appears to be unusually bright... but then, most atheists do.

From my perspective...people who hate gays and are intolerant of other people's religious views, or lack thereof, are the ones who are dumbing down America

It's funny how so many of the saved and devout don't think TV and entertainment in general should be witty, funny, interesting or cerebral, they think it should advance their social and political goals.

    You know, like Goebbels.

There was a very good conservative cartoon running for 13 years, "King of the Hill".

And it was good because it wasn't trying to be propaganda. Mike Judge clearly loved his characters, with all their flaws. And so did the audience. And there weren't any liberals raging about how it offended them.

If you ask me...which you didn't...some of these Christian righties remind me of Bill O'Reilly on a tear, or Carrie's mom from the movie Carrie, and John Lithgow's character in Footloose.

All this crud about morality in decline. They said that about flappers in the 20's. Either Socrates or Plato were griping about "today's youth", and so on.

They're just TV shows, and they get edgier each year. The young people of every given generation have always found ways to make the previous generations feel like they're doomed.

yeah I remember I saw one episode that infuriated me. it was bashing the military rapist and manipulative and crooked. And if you want to take cheap shots at politicians fine but dont do it at the people who give their lives to defend you.

This is so funny to me.
They used to say the same thing about "Roseanne", but to me it was a beautiful show about a real family with flaws that loved each other.

Comedians are not to blame for public morality. Individuals do what they want to do. If you're scared of being influenced, don't watch. Simple as that. As for others being influenced, let them! It's what they want to do, and you can't tell them not to! Another thing: Why does everybody seem to criminalise atheists because of lack of morals? We do good deeds because they're good, not because we believe we recieve a heavenly reward. If anything, doing such is more morally sound.
