The idea that people who are childless don't have an investment in the future seems like a truism to me, but only in a general sense since there are multitudes of exceptions both ways. And of course many childless people who have some sort of religion or are in a cult may think their practices are for the future.

What a foolish concept. Unless they've already died, everyone has a stake in the future.

Not very far though. Take monetary policy for example. Do you think our economic system of printing whatever money we cant get from taxation is going to work for another 5 years? Prolly. Another 100 years? Prolly not. And when it stops working, the people living then are gonna be in real ****. But we keep doing it based on the gamble that it wont be us who get hit with it.

nope, not relevant at all rather or not one has kids to rather or not one acts to make the world a better place, or a slew of related concepts....

Elon Musk? I'm starting to think you're a billionaire fanboi, although Trump's just a baby B at best....

I rarely see any genuine concern for the future regardless of whether or not they have children. The majority of Americans are about instant gratification. They eat crap until they're fat and prediabetic, and spend until they're broke and then borrow on revolving debt, and they vote for a party spends our money like thieves with stolen credit cards.

I have 5 kids and they will be just fine. I raised them to adapt and be good at the gave no matter how often the rules change.

For a supposed bright mind a lot of dumb falls out of it. Think before you speak Elon. Although I suppose he could take on subsidizing parents himself.

You're being overly presumptuous. I dont agree because it was Elon's idea. Actually it was some rando on twitter that Elon seemed to agree with who had the idea, iirc. Either way, I agree because it makes sense. I just dont wanna take credit for ideas that I didn't come up with on my own.

I don't plan on having kids, but quite frankly, I see too many people who really shouldn't have had kids they are such horrible parents. As for Elon's opinion, anything to get him some attention.

It's certainly a factor. I'd also add if you are paying more in taxes than you receive in free ****.

Currently, we have a little over $2 trillion in circulation. We currently receive about $4.5 trillion in tax revenue of all types. The problem with your argument is you are not understanding what M1 and M2 is and how it affects our economy. And the money created is mostly done by banks through their lending programs.

I guess we'll see. No complaining or begging though if (when) my gold savings is worth 100x its current value and your wheelbarrel of federal reserve notes won't buy a can of soup. I WILL say I told you so.
