There is more logic in polytheism do you agree for it is the root of religion the Sumerian gods are true
I would say no. Polytheism seems a natural step in the evolution of religion. One can see how a primitive culture would attach different aspects of nature to different gods. A god of thunder, a god of the sun, a god of fertility, and so on. But you don't evolve a coherent worldview with that. That's something that monotheism allows. One creator, one set of rules. This I believe is what is a necessary precondition to develop science. Without that, I doubt you could progress very far technologically.
None of it is logical in a "finding truth" sort of way. It's all people who have no idea what they're talking about trying to explain things anyway. The function is to make people feel better or control them either way. I understand why a lack of scientific knowledge would lead to polytheism. But people never stop wanting the comfort of religion, so you make up something that's harder to explain away and you have the ineffable, mysterious god who is too nebulous to disprove.
polytheism is the development of science, because for polytheists the basis of morality is the constitution the church has always hindered the development of science scientists don't think about god when they develop science
religion is constantly evolving, religions come and go, new ones are created, often built on top of the old
While it is true that you believe as you do. It doesn't mean that that which you believe is true. Otherwise all beliefs are true, a logical impossibility . Which is why the American Constitution allows for religious freedom. Not to ascribe to all beliefs, but to spare us from subjection to falsehoods and allow us to find the truth individually. As for Polytheism being the root of religion. It may also be the root of falsehoods or the going away from the truth and away from the one true God. Therefore for true religion to have been dismissed is not to have never existed, anymore than to be murdered is to have never lived. The logic of polytheism is like the cities and states in America. Each has it's own laws, priorities, and values which might be considered Gods, one for each city, a greater one for each state, and one great God over all in the US Constitution. This would logically make monotheism superior to polytheism in the USA.
I only know the American system. We are all free to practice/worship whatever religion/God/Gods we choose, even none at all. I lived the first twenty six years of my life with no religion at all, besides conscience.
I, for one, don’t like polytheism. It creates static when you walk and that weird swish swish sound. I much prefer natural fibers like cotton.
I dont know if there is a god, but if there is, there are many Reason? Because in nature, in every category, there isn't one of anything. In every category, there are thousands, millions, of the thing in the category. so, if there is a god, there are many. Unless, god is an essence, and not a 'being'. Actually, I'm more inclined in the latter, above, it's more pantheistic.
