It's too bad people who call themselves 'liberal' rarely support liberty.

It's too bad that people who are 'liberals' are often incorrectly assumed to not be supporters of liberty.

That's true and I respect the fact that you see political ideology as a spectrum, not a binary choice. But the way I see it, there are Left-Liberals, Central-Liberals and Right-Liberals. I'm a libertarian so, I guess I'm a Center-Right-Liberal. You're right, there is more than one non-right ideology.

Eventually, given enough time, if the USSR had lasted then from its point of view its socialism would become a conservative ideology.

Manty right-wingers believe the exact same thing you do.

It only lowers my respect for them, and increases my doubt of them ever passing a political science class.

Libertarian socialism (sometimes called social anarchism, and sometimes left libertarianism) is a group of political philosophies that promote a non-hierarchical, non-bureaucratic, stateless society without private property in the means of production. Libertarian socialism is opposed to all coercive forms of social organization, and promotes free association in place of government and opposes what it sees as the coercive social relations of capitalism, such as wage labor. The term libertarian socialism is used by some socialists to differentiate their philosophy from state socialism or by some as a synonym for left anarchism.

Adherents of libertarian socialism assert that a society based on freedom and equality can be achieved through abolishing authoritarian institutions that control certain means of production and subordinate the majority to an owning class or political and economic elite. Libertarian socialism also constitutes a tendency of thought that promotes the identification, criticism and practical dismantling of illegitimate authority in all aspects of life.

Accordingly, libertarian socialists believe that "the exercise of power in any institutionalized form—whether economic, political, religious, or sexual—brutalizes both the wielder of power and the one over whom it is exercised".Libertarian socialists generally place their hopes in decentralized means of direct democracy such as libertarian municipalism, citizens' assemblies, trade unions and workers' councils.

Think again. You can be on the left/right and support Liberty. But how much Liberty do you need? What we need in the States is some freaking Anarchy.

Or it sounds like a Utopia on the Left to counter the Libertarian Right. I dislike agreeing political views with other people because we tend to walk out of the conversation of being good friends to hatred people for having a different viewpoint.

I don't know how that sounds like hell on earth, when living is hell lol. We are just human beings with high intellectual powers. But do cats and dogs have political ideologies? No they don't. They live a pretty care free life.

I am not a cat or dog. I can't live without my freedom and they are being eroded daily. I will not submit to a neighborhood committee running my life. It's bad enough that the gov't does it now. The gov't should be protecting the country from outside enemies and staying out of Peoples' ways of making a living and doing business.

There are plenty of socialist utopias:twisted: go there. I will not submit to it.

What the (*)(*)(*)(*) are you talking about? Am I telling you to follow my political ideology? No. You are forcing your ideology on me when I feel that is against my "liberty." How much freedoms do you need? The freedom to extract wealth from your neighbor land and health? It's pretty bad you are being played by the right with the whole "Liberty" wand. It doesn't exist. The government should kneel down at the people, not the other way around. You cannot support a military nor an infrastructure in the free markets. Well you can, but its going probably (*)(*)(*)(*)ter than what we got now.

Its a (*)(*)(*)(*)ing analogy your small intellectual can understand. In a dog eat dog world, political ideologies have no (*)(*)(*)(*)ing place. I hope we go to some kind of Anarchy so I can destroy civilization. The cats and dogs have political loyalty because they don't care who is in charge, I guess you are a sheep on following a "Liberty" wave than for thinking for yourself. I know I don't listen to any politicians on either side because they only listen to the 2% and they got you by the (*)(*)(*)(*)ing balls.
