    Mostly but the Brits and French with Winston Churchill drawing Iraq's borders.
    Treaty of Paris 1919 time. One of the minor :wink: side treaties.
    In part they wanted to deny a Kurdistan so made sure they were split between Iran, Iraq, and what remained as Turkey.

    Yes it is certainly a well understood issue. It is half the problem with Africa too little attention paid to what tribe lived where
