Good. When Democrats refuse to enforce the law it is wonderful that the state constitution gives the governor the power to remove them. Next time actually do your damn job.

Huh? Who should be "cleaned out" of "red states"? That sounds pretty divisive and threatening.

OK. Shouldn't that be universal and not just in "red states"? Why this needless division? Why this polarized view of Republicans and Democrats? We're all Americans, and most who vote one way or the other are not extreme in their views, at least on most issues. Same for elected officials and appointees at every governmental level. You make everything sound so dramatic.

Retailers are shaping a wave of laws to crack down on organized theft — here’s how they do it
Published Fri, Aug 11 202310:54 AM EDTUpdated An Hour Ago

    ...

Since 2022, at least nine states – six so far this year – have passed laws to impose harsher penalties for organized retail crime offenses. Similar bills are pending before legislatures across the country and in the U.S. Senate.

Behind the sweep of legislation are retailers and trade associations, which are using their collective power to get the bills written and past the finish line. They have also seized on a moment when lawmakers in many parts of the country, and from both sides of the aisle, see a political benefit from appearing tough on crime.

    ... https://www.cnbc.com/2023/08/11/org...-states-pass-laws-to-crack-down-on-theft.html

Lots of states of various hues have new laws in place to combat organized retail theft. Happy to see that my state is among them.

If AGs or other officials need a fire lit under their asses to take action, that's fine. I'm all for people doing their jobs and doing them well. But let's not make it a needlessly politically divisive issue.

Of course I agree. The division is this......blue states are far more likely to cuddle these Soros appointed AG's and prosecutors. DeSantis set the example and I would expect Republican Governors would be first to follow! Sure we are all Americans, but diverse leadership has divided us. That is a reality!

It is great to see the blue state coming around! Of course they are really hit hard on the matter of crime. I also look forward to Sanctuary Cities finally speaking out against illegal immigration! Good thing they bused illegals to their town I would say. It made them take notice!

And why the anti-Soros nonsense? George Soros has been the target of conspiracy theorists for a long time. He's just one of countless wealthy old men who donate to political causes. He doesn't appoint any public official since he is not in a position to do so.

Illegal immigration is not that big of a deal. It's tolerated because we need those people to do a lot of menial work. They work hard and they work cheap and don't raise a fuss. It's a form of corruption in the business world, and thus in the political realm as well, but it proves more beneficial than harmful to us.

No he targets elections selectively, especially in San Francisco, that elect these worthless AG's. He spends millions where there is little money elsewhere.

It's not a big deal! Ha! Tell that to the recent converted of Mayor Adams of New York City. One year he is shaking hands with busloads of illegals and welcoming the to his sanctuary city, (virtue signalling) and this year he is begging the Feds to do something about it! If it were anything close to an economic pls, he wouldn't be doing that!

Mayor Eric Adams: Migrant crisis in New York City is a "national issue"

    ...

"We have created a funnel," Adams said. "All the bordering states have now [taken] the funnel right to New York City. New York City is the economic engine of this entire state and country. If you decimate this city, you're going to decimate the foundation of what's happening with Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston."

The mayor's office outlined specific requests for President Joe Biden's administration aimed at effectively managing the crisis and preventing a potential expenditure of over $12 billion across three fiscal years.

Among the requests: Expediting work authorizations for asylum seekers to facilitate quicker employment opportunities, declaring a state of emergency to address the crisis at the border, seeking increased federal reimbursement for costs incurred by the city and implementing a federal decompression strategy to ensure a more equitable distribution of arriving asylum seekers.

    ... https://www.cbsnews.com/news/mayor-eric-adams-migrant-crisis-in-new-york-city-is-a-national-issue/

If the strategy of the border states is wake up Sleepy Joe and get him to take action, I applaud that. But I don't approve of this "funnel" of human beings into a given location. I don't approve of anyone using other people as pawns like this and putting them and perhaps others at risk in the process. It's also worth noting that these are asylum seekers, not illegal immigrants. They're not trying to sneak into the country. They're seeking a legal path to live and work here.

Ohhhh that's cute. Because it's not Texas and is instead, New York...NOW it's a crisis.

We told you so, progressives. We've tried warning you that your migration policy is not realistic. But NOOOO "everyone is a dreamer!"

It's also Trump's migration policy. It hasn't changed much in many years. Fighting like this is accomplishing nothing.

Actually if you paid attention when Biden got into office after having called Trump racist for 4 years due to his immigration policy...Biden pulled the executive order card and reversed all of Trump's policies which caused immigration along the border to spike hard and by the time Biden came in and reinstated most of Trump's policies it was already too late.

You can't run on a platform where you're going to promote open borders and not expect the borders to be flooded that is just dumbass progressive liberal b*******

Even right now progressives are not doing nearly enough to stem the flow of Tide of immigration into this country because there is still a perceived notion that we want all the migration all are welcome.

And the reality is that this life raft cannot and should not be responsible for everybody else's problems and everybody else's country we're just going to sink our boat

How is it "too late" for the same policies to work? Trump's policies didn't make the problem magically vanish. The rightwing propaganda media made it appear to vanish by omission of the facts during his failed administration, and now of course it's exaggerating the issue again now that's Biden in the White House.

Because you've spent your entire campaign preaching an open border...the message is loud and clear. EVEN RIGHT NOW it's widely seen to get to America. Better get in now before Trump possibly gets back in office.

You need to flip the switch in your actions that those who attempt to cross illegally are not welcome and not wanted and will be dealt with. But Biden and the progressives lack the balls to do so. And who pays? America. American cities. American people.

The cup has now runneth full and it's not even been 4 years of Biden.

This was not an issue under Trump. The optics were "don't come".

This is not an accident or coincidence.
    upload_2023-8-11_16-4-25.png

Migration is good. But you need social support for those coming. We are now at the point where they are coming to sleep on the streets. Where do they live? How do they get medical aid? Who feeds them? Who 'vets' them? How do they work?

To simply assume we can just handle an infinite amount of migration is asinine and destructive. And that's where we are now. Living the progressive dream! You struck down "racist" Trump and this is progressive vision playing itself out.

First, don't say I did it because I'm neither a politician nor a Democrat.

Second, Democrats have not "preached" such a thing. That is more right-wing fake news.

I mean...once you get off the virtue soap box...when the rubber hits the road...no. We actually CAN'T "absorb" all those who wish to seek refuge in the United States.

    Also note your own data:

Apprehensions were way down during Obama's terms and started going up in 2018, two years before Biden was even elected. You shot your own argument down by posting this.

Where did you get that diarrhea about Soros? Did your ridiculous accusation come from QANON toilet as those fools got the belief that JFK ever died and was going to return to Dallas riding in his convertible Lincoln in 2020.
