http://www.cnn.com/2012/10/28/us/new-jersey-newark-crime/index.html?hpt=hp_t3 "And Newark is by no means unique in implementing police cutbacks to save city money. Meanwhile, violent crime soared 18% nationwide last year, marking the country's first rise since 1993, while property crime also spiked for the first time in a decade." Cut our police, firemen, and teachers, then complain about the crime rates and educational system. How pathetically short-sighted, ignorant, and delusional. Why isn't the "private market" stepping into this void and curbing violent crime? Oh, that's right; there's no profit motive. That is, unless you want to talk about private prison models which literally bribe politicians for more stringent sentencing requirements in order to keep sucking up taxpayers' money.
Why don't you blame the democrats who are responsible for creating high crime rates. Fix that problem and you won't need so many police. This is how people behave when they blow through their democratic provided welfare funds and need more drugs.
