Looks like neither side got 100% of what they wanted in the midterms. The GOP did not get their red wave they had hoped for, and the Dems did not keep hold of the House. In contrast, these midterms could be interpreted in a way that the voters wanted moderation, from either side.

So, in my view it would be a good time to tone down the extremist language. Biden and the Dems, time to stop screaming about democracy being in danger from the MAGA crowd, and GOP, time to put away the "f Joe Biden" flags.

    What do you think?

The extremes of both sides will never tone it down. In fact, if anything the extremes of both sides with turn it up. They can’t help themselves. Crazy is gonna crazy and no amount of common sense or logic will change it.

Its just going to get worse. And the byproduct of it all is nobody with half a brain is going to run for president.
Which leaves us with Biden, Trump, Hillary, Harris, and the like.

Running for president now means you spend the rest of your life looking over your shoulder and your children and family berated forever.
Being elected president used to be an office of honor. Nobody from either side respects that office or its power anymore.
And worse than that, congressional stagnation

Democrats spent 4 years trying to remove an elected president on false claims
Now Republicans will spend 4 years investigating Biden
And who are the real losers
    We the People

false claims? Trump actually did those things, republicans admitted that, said he learned his lesson the first time.... the second time they said he did it, but is no longer President so can't be impeached

I think they want things to get done and for both parties to work together to solve issues, important issues. What they don't want is a nationwide abortion ban or abortion right for that matter, generally, and they want something done for inflation to be lowered and they want America's foreign policy to be stable and strong, which is exactly what Joe Biden has been doing. Climate change should not be too dramatic, but it should be concerned with getting more and more people hired as well as fossil fuels. Some of this will have to come from Biden after his G20 trip and the final results are in. But it also should come from McCarthy and McConnell as well. McConnell needs to allow qualified judicial nominees to be allowed a hearing and a vote. McCarthy needs to not acquiesce to the Freedom Caucus who are already making demands for impeachment, among other things.
