MEPS has issued a statement to all recruiters for our military, NOT TO ACCEPT anyone who has recovered from Covid-19 virus. Which really raises my suspicion that this virus is much worse than all others.

That's peculiar. The linked article didn't explain the rationale behind the decision. If someone has fully recovered without any long term complications, why should they need to try for a waiver or be outright rejected?

    Apparently:
"However, given the limited research on COVID-19, there are likely a few factors that military medical professionals are trying to hash out when it comes to recruiting survivors: Whether respiratory damage from the virus is long-lasting or permanent, and whether that can be assessed; the likelihood of recurring flare-ups, even if someone has had two consecutive negative tests; and the possibility that one bout of COVID-19 might not provide full immunity for the future, and could potentially leave someone at a higher risk to contract it again, perhaps with worse complications."

Too early for this to become doctrine. As we settle out of this we will see what the final judgement is. If this virus is as infectious as we think then they will not be able too bar those who had it as it would restrict too many from joining. I can not see the military cutting their own throat like that.

As far as reinfection goes, that seem to be more fear mongering.
