    And what point do you think that is? My comments were simply an observation. From reading many of your posts I had gotten the impression that you were one of the people who didn't support gun control. Obviously I was wrong. Nothing personal. Again, just an observation.

    When I have sold guns, and I sold off a sizable collection, I sold to those I figured had some semblance of responsible character using my own methods for vetting. If the NCIS was available to me, it is simply another tool to use in my vetting process, not any compliance to any law but conformance to my personal criteria. I have refused to sell on occasion...but, I have also refused sales of custom bamboo fly rods I make on occasion as well. Liberty to own something doesn’t mean I give up my liberty to decide who I might want to do business with.

    I just see the NICS as another form of gun control. In recent years I too sold a gun collection. I went to the gun show, set up a table and sold my guns. I took cash and went home.

    Japan has gun control. The US has gun control. California has gun control. Vermont has gun control. The details are very different. What you ask "are you in favor of gun control?", you have to be specific as to what restrictions you mean. Someone can be in favor of not allowing violent felons to possess guns, which doesn't mean that they support California or Japan levels of gun control.
