http://www.cnbc.com/2016/09/07/trum...n-because-i-dont-want-enemies-to-know-it.html " Trump: I don't give a specific ISIS plan because I don't want enemies to know it" and, of course, his famous "I know more about ISIS than the generals, believe me" WELL?? What are you waiting for, Donnie??? I believe the ISIS "plan" is exactly the equivalent to the Nixon "Secret plan" to end the Vietnam war - EXACTLY NOTHING.
I'm in favor of doing nothing. There's nothing to end if we don't get involved. I'm surprised this is lost on you, Viet-Vet.
Only an idiot would tell isis how, where, when, and even if he was gonna go after them. Obama was the idiot, but clearly you do not know the difference between an idiot and someone who isn't. We went to great lengths to keep our plans away from the japs and kraut in ww2. Why is that? You should know, being a vet and all.
I don't want us involved, either, I was just pointing out some more of Trump's hypocrisy - he chastised Obama, and claimed he was such an expert, but what has happened? NOTHING. The so-called president said he would bomb the s#$t out of the - as if bombing desert would be productive - we dropped more bombs in Vietnam than in all of WWII - how did that go? I was pointing out yet another of the buffoon's areas of incompetence. Comparable to: "Who knew Healthcare cold be so complicated?"
I can surely tell by who supports him.... You really believe he HAS a plan??? Wow. I was mocking him - I know he won't reveal a plan - because he has none. Sorry I went over your head.
In the first ISIS statement on President Trump since his inauguration, the terror group’s spokesperson lashed out at the “stupid idiot” who now occupies the White House, according to NBC News. Other translations of the audio suggest that ISIS only meant to call Trump an “idiot,” or perhaps “harebrained” or “riffraff.” It is THAT obvious. Even vermin see it.
Trump said he would bomb Isis, not Assad. It would be a mistake to get involved in Syria because there's no good reason to do so. Furthermore, I am highly doubtful that Assad was behind the chemical attack that just happened. It doesn't make any sense for him to gas a handful of civilians. Let's find out who's behind it before we do anything.
Well let's see the plan in action then. My understanding is that we were doing well against ISIS but now it's stalled, not badly, but not what you'd expect if the New Trump Strategy was in full swing. Then again, ISIS fighters do tend to shoot back when you try to kill them, so it's no wonder Trump has gone after the old people first
There's clearly a humanitarian reason to do so. Putin and Assad would rather bomb indiscriminately and terrorize the population into submission.
Richard Engel was on the scene - he is very experienced and reliable - and he's convinced it was either Assad, the Russians, or both. The victim distribution does not support the story it was a rebel arms depot explosion. Trump feels bombs settle anything.
There's clearly a humanitarian reason not to. Our soldiers' lives are more valuable. And, we don't know that Assad was behind the attack. I would bet my last dollar that he wasn't. He gains nothing from it. In fact, it's counter productive.
I'm not sure who else, but it would be an actor that would like to drag us into a proxy war with Russia (no shortage of those). Who says the plane has to come from the Syrian air force? Don't focus so much on appearances, and think more about motivations and beneficiaries.
