The Democrat led pork filled bill to respond to their lockdown created trillions of dollars in extra debt. It's time that they pay for it by cutting some of their favorite wasteful spendings.

    It's time to cut welfare
It's time to cut social security
It's time to cut subsidies to drug addicts.
It's time to cut the useless EPA
It's time to cut the useless IRS
It's time to cut abortion funding
It's time to cut Obama phones
It's time to cut student loans
It's time to cut section 8
It's time to cut Congress's pay

Nope, first and foremost you cut out all socialized medicine and government handouts. So the Veterans Administration and all Veteran's benefits have to go

Talk about a scam. Do four years on one job and get benefits for life? It sounds to me like a politician's job.

Corn subsidies are a no-brainer as are oil subsidies. Those both have to go.

No more socialized farming. All farm benefits have to go.

No more free rides for churches. All churches should pay taxes. Churches receive up to 50 Billion each year in tax-free income. At a 20% tax rate that represents $10 billion in lost federal taxes.

A health care risk tax on all unhealthy choices, made at the point of sale, and based on the actual cost of the health care system, could pay for up to 1/2 of all health care costs. That is $500 Billion a year.

Sugar alone accounts for about $300 Billion in health care costs each year. Based on its actual cost to the health care system, sugar should be taxed at a rate of $20 a pound.

A 10% health tax on beer would yield $12 billion in revenues each year.

And frankly, I get tired of paying for the health care cost of beer drinkers due to diabetes and obesity related illnesses. They cost me through the cost of my insurance.

A 20% tax on sporting events would produce another $10 billion in tax revenues.

Just like a democrat, instead of cutting spending, you just want more and higher taxes.

    Better than the Repubs.
Instead of cutting spending, they increase it and cut taxes. Doubling down on debts and deficits.

Check out the history sometime. Reagan leads the pack of peace time prez's. Although, tRUMP is going to blow that out of the water for just this year alone.
Over $3T so far and counting.
Time for a tax cut I guess.

So you'd be fine with cutting spending and not raising taxes?

I prefer to pay for things that are being bought.
I personally buy most everything with cash outright.

Unless it's real estate. I have enough cash on hand to buy most everything else. Including good used vehicles.
And I see no reason gov't can't get enough cash to pay for what they spend.

Was that your way of saying you prefer the repubs way of raising spending and cutting taxes?

The question is in regard to gov't spending, not your personal spending. You knew that though, didn't you?

So let's try again, so you'd be fine with cutting spending and not raising taxes?

Why should the gov't be any different than you and I?

Either pay for what you buy or don't buy.
But it doesn't hurt to take out loans, we all do it.

I gave you my answer. You have not given an answer.
Obviously Repubs don't cut spending. So now what?

I'm good with that. We can use the first two years of that on finishing the Border Wall and then from there on out it can be used to pay for endless future democrat voter abortions.

Ok, if we were starting from square one, you might be making some sense, but we're not. We're in debt. So which do you prefer to do, cut spending or raise taxes? (is this really the third time I'm asking the same question. Why yes it is).

Yes, we are in debt. And tRUMP and congress are now adding $3T+ more to the debt/deficit. What is your suggestion on what to do with all this added free money?
    I answered you 2X.
Pay for what you buy is preferred. Taking out loans when needed. Why can't you read that in what I've typed 2x?

Now, the repubs do NOT cut spending. So what is your proposal since neither the D's or R's cut spending. It seems cutting spending is off the table.
    So now what?
The obvious answer is the repubs prefer to go further and further into debt. Do you agree?
And you said the D's want to raise taxes to pay for the spending. I think we both agree on that.

You dodging to answer does speak volumes.

I never said a word about repubs , and I agree they need to cut spending. So no argument there. However why did you reply to me but not a single reply to the poster who made 10 posts about how to raise taxes. I guess that speaks volumes as well.

You can't agree they need to cut spending.
I never said they need to cut it. Because I know, they do not cut it. That has been obvious these last 3 yrs.

So, given that the R's won't cut spending, what is your suggestion. Dealing with reality of the situation.

I didn't read the other poster. But I assume he must feel that paying for what one buys is also the proper way to go.
So if one is spending, they need to pay for those things.

it's that pesky "Constitution" thingy again.

    Separation of church and state.
If the feds could tax churches, they could control them, such as close them for tax reasons......like they do the rest of us.

State and local taxation of churches is off limits as well.

Where in the constitution does it prohibit states from taxing churches?

You may want to cut spending. But we don't have a congress or prez that wants to cut spending. So that isn't an option at this time.
And if one keeps electing the same people, that will not lead to spending cuts either.

So, for now spending cuts are off the table. Since raising spending is all that is being done. Was even raised during the 2 yrs R's had total control of congress and WH.

So if spending cuts is your preference, how do propose to achieve that?
And how is that going to help with the massive bills congress and the WH is piling up at the present?
