Yes, IDF was incompetent defending Israel, but as to fighting in Gaza – IDF is doing what other Western armies did in Iraq, Balkans, Libya or Afghanistan.
Palestinian people are lucky they are fighting with IDF – do you remember huuuuuge protests when Western countries killed civilian in Iraq, Balkans, Libya or Afghanistan?

It makes no difference. They die just the same.

Ok. So, ultimately, you would be ok if Israel dropped a nuke and just kills everybody (assuming that's possible without killing Israelis). Hamas terrorists would be dead. And just about the whole population of Palestine. The students just happen to disagree. So they protest....

    Easy as that....

No need to convince ME that Bush was incompetent. But Bush's incompetence is unlikely to change the mind of a single protester.

The students aren't involved; they seek to alter the positions of the people who are by complaining and acting out- like blackmail to shut them up. This is because they are trying to find power and importance for themselves, and they don't have any idea how to do it properly. If we investigated the lives of these protestors, I'd bet we would find a moral void- people who have opinions for others, but are unwilling to live by respectable values themselves. You can bet they don't like anyone telling them what to do, which is being clearly demonstrated by their resistance to administration and police orders. They may be attending a university, but they think like adolescent children. They need to be disciplined like adolescent children.

Agree! I would add that Biden in Afghanistan was like Napoleon Bonaparte!
And if someone will add - as Napoleon in Russia - I will call him/her racist, fascist and Trump supporter.

    Thank you for asking.
I was feeling great, until I found not everyone understand my humor, so now I feel sad.

One can wonder about the motives of the protestors. Does politics play a big part in it?? or is it a genuine concern for the lives of the civilians. ( a justified concern) This slaughter in the Gaza should have come to a close or nearly so by now. But Israel's leader is hanging on to his job by protracting this war. Protests have a way of attracting the disenfranchised , the borderline, and other as well as the students. They also have the potential for getting out of control with minimal provocation. The problem (one of) with starting a war , even when it seems justified, it has a way of taking on a life of it's own as various other motives creep in.

If you follow the details you see very clearly that student in Columbia do not give a flying f**** about lives of civilians, they carried only about Hamas victory.

On Oct 9, 2 days after Hamas genocide murdering, raping and kidnapping (including one 9 month infant), students did not show any consideration about human life - here are details:
    https://www.columbiaspectator.com/n...y-groups-release-open-letter-joint-statement/
And the student letter is here:
    https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RcXX5DEO3yfJ9R4ksURnzpIPCyVxo575-Y-SoC_vZFk/edit
And who is "Palestinian resistance" which murdered, raped and kidnap Israeli civilians?
It is fundamental Muslim organization which promised never make peace with Israel and convert Israel to Muslim country where women, gays, lesbians, atheists and apostates will be free ...according to the Sharia Law.

Here are some examples of this freedom:
    https://www.hrw.org/news/2021/12/20/saudi-arabia-yemeni-man-sentenced-apostasy

    https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/n...ions-and-release-dozens-facing-lgbti-charges/

This is how freedom looks in Columbia students eyes:

I enjoy watching the woke left and neo-lib left go to war with each other and destroy the Democrats chances in the next election. The woke left has George Soros money but the neo-lib left have even more money and more power. The crackdown on the protests is coming from the neo-lib left expressing hard power. It would not be surprising to see college purges in the near future. I wouldn't even rule out the neo-libs targeting George Soros himself like they have targeted their Republican opponents.

My answer to that would be "all of the above". I think the majority of the protests are genuine concern that we are funding a massacre. But there are definitely fascist elements who infiltrate them. This is no t new. We saw the same in the 60s and 70s over the Vietnam protests. Infiltrators will always undermine the just cause of the protests.

The protests have managed to bring attention to the massacre. So, all in all, it has served its purpose. But those who use them to promote intolerance need to be singled out. I think most universities, at least to this point, are handling this the right way: allow legitimate protests, and crack down on the fascists.
