Ah, let me correct myself. It is in the process of destroying itself where 60% of it is already destroyed, the other 40% just doesn't realize it yet. :flagus:

The economy is good enough to employ any American who meets the qualifications I laid out

If welfare babies break those rules they have only themselves to blame for being poor

I know but hell you have to find a niche somewhere to probe. I feel sorry for younger folks cause it's a lot harder to make a decent living now..

I am retired at 57 why are you so negative man?
There is much age discrimination out there. I work cause I am bored, not out of necessity. I paid off my 43 acres twenty years ago. I was a contractor in masonry, electrical and electronics.. Make good decisions at twenty, hell I was still in college at twenty...

Is that why you people complain about the immigrants getting welfare?

If you were a young man you would find that the opportunities are very few in number and very short in supply these days but for some reason the old think the United States economy still resembles the 1970's, I assure you it does not.

I am not interested in your internet tall tales

My observations about poor people remain the same

hell I was still in college at twenty..”

Thats one of the good decisions people can make that I was referring to

The poor have many paths they can take to advancement

They can stay in school and become white collar workers or they can join a trade

But instead they do nothing with their lives to help themselves

Whether people like you believe me or not is irrelevant, what is relevant is the moves of the economy the next couple of years. When it concerns your tall tales of everything being fixed and the data or information I possess that illustrates it is not if I was to gamble I'll take my position over yours any day of the week. We'll see, won't we?

Really? Cause I never used the college education to earn that living.
Come on over and go deer hunting on my tall tale then.

Many people do put their college education to work for them

Of course if you majored in some economically useless subject you may need an alternative path

But either way you can make it if you try

There is no such thing as an economically useless subject since all subjects do not pay you to study them.
I was a high school dropout....

In my opinion self education is the way to go, colleges have become young adult day care and indoctrination centers.

That is what I thought about high school in Del City, Ok. I am self-educated because public schools will not and can not teach you everything you need to know to survive in the industrial age.
One resource I use is youtube, it has a plethora of subjects to learn.

Not having a diploma or a degree doesn't keep one from becoming rich.
Having a diploma and a degree does not mean you will be rich.
