It was a lie that China is building auto-plants in Mexico to build cars for American import.

"Vehicles manufactured in China are accelerating their pace in the Mexican market. According to official figures, 20% of the light vehicles sold last year in the Latin American country were imported from China, equivalent to 273,592 units, which also represents a growth of 50% compared to 2022. For now, The import of vehicles from China comes mainly from Western brands that have their manufacturing plants in that country. Thus, the cars are from General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, BMW and Renault. However, little by little the presence of specifically Chinese brands in Mexico has also been increasing. Among the names that landed in the last three years are: Changan, JMC, Chirey, Jaecoo, Jetour, among others."

"Guillermo Rosales, president of the Mexican Association of Automotive Distributors (AMDA), explains: “We have a positive outlook in the domestic market, for this year we are calculating an increase of 7% compared to last year due to economic growth and the perspective of a drop in interest rates, we could even think of reaching 1.5 million units sold,

    I think tRaitor tRump's comments:

"That's if I get elected. If I don't get elected it's going to be a blood bath for the whole .. that's gona be the least of it, it's gonna be a blood bath for the country."

Can be taken either way; as specific to the domestic auto industry OR that he meant if he doesn't get elected it will be a blood bath for our nation.

But the confusion all started with the lie that China is building "huge auto plants" for American import. The real bloodbath has been tRaitor tRump's assault on the truth.

But it's not the threat he was trying to make it to be. The reason he's making it an issue is the UAW endorsement of President Biden ... lol.

    And tRaitor tRump is ignoring:

NAFTA was replaced on July 1, 2020, by the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), which changed the rules for exporting cars around the region. Under the present deal, 75 percent of a vehicle must be built in North America for its maker to avoid paying import tariffs, and 70 percent of its steel and aluminum must be sourced from the region. The agreement also has provisions aimed at improving wages, such as stipulating that 40 to 45 percent of a vehicle must be made by workers earning at least $16 per hour.

Since he signed that treaty you would think he'd know.

    You didn't do enough research...

MEXICO CITY, Feb 28 (Reuters) - Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD is looking for a location in Mexico to set up a factory aimed at boosting the company's share of the local market, BYD Americas CEO Stella Li told Reuters on Wednesday.

The company expects to choose a location for the plant, which is set to have a production capacity of 150,000 cars annually, by the year's end, Li said.

You need to do more research...

    From the same link:

BYD outpaced former market leader Tesla in EV sales globally in the fourth quarter of 2023, and auto industry officials say its push into Mexico foreshadows a competitive threat the Shenzhen-based automaker and others from China may pose to companies already operating in the U.S. market.

I really didn't do my homework as well as I should have.

In my defense they aren't talking about importing to the U.S. near term, but competing with U.S. internationally.

After his piss poor presidency and attack on OUR Congress, I have a surplus of owed apologies coming. Besides, I wasn't wrong in the near term and it remains to be seen if in the distant future if China manufacturing in Mexico will amount to anything.

    Succinctly, I don't owe tRaitor tRump ****.
