Tree-climbing 'drop bears' and crocodiles inhabited eastern Australia millions of years ago

So “drop bears” were real!!

More worrying though was the finding of “tree climbing Crocodiles”

And people think Australia is dangerous now!

Doesn't anything that lives in trees occasionally lose its footing and fall out? Seems like they're stretching pretty hard to turn these into drop bears.

For my money, Koalas are scary and vicious enough, we don't need drop bears.

Is Australia even that dangerous? I'd much rather be alone without a phone in Australia than North America or Africa. Everything that kills you here runs away from you, it doesn't stalk you over hundreds of kilometers.

You know what's a lot scarier than drop bears? Actual bears.

 

Just be glad you don't have to deal with trash pandas.... Also known as raccoons
