Truck Drivers Are the Atlas that Finally Shrugged

Would we miss things like the newest Marvel movie? Sure. Those things are the spice of a life as bountiful as ours. But that doesn’t change the fact that our world would keep right on turning.

Now try to live without the World Turners, those sneered at by America’s left-wing elite, by the CNNs and Morning Joes and NPR — the working class. Try to imagine your life without mechanics, farmers, coal miners, oil drillers, plumbers, roofers, electricians, pest control, the people who stock the shelves, who make our steel, police our streets, put out our fires, pave our roads, dig our ditches, haul our garbage, and plow the snow. Within a month, our world stops turning. Within six months, welcome to dystopia. Within a year, we’re eating one another.

But if you really want to know who keeps our world turning, it’s the truck drivers. Nothing moves without truck drivers, and I do mean nothing. Without truck drivers, it all goes to **** in about a week. No gasoline, no heating oil, empty store shelves, empty pharmacies, no seeds to grow your own food. It all grinds to a halt.

And still, despite their necessity and the value they add to our lives, everything our useless elites despise can be found in the person of a truck driver, for they are the modern-day cowboy: the rugged and resourceful individualists doing the dangerous, difficult, skilled, and tedious work of keeping us fed and absurdly comfortable…

Truckers are an absolutely essential and vital cog in our economy. We all owe them and the rest of the working class a great debt of gratitude. They were the heroes of the early pandemic, the most essential and needed. Now that the ruling class elites are attacking and belittling the working class. Their contempt for us knows no bounds.

 

Who knew that it would be the working class that would shake the elites to their core? We all before Trump thought it would be freedom defending corporate eccentrics and they may still play a part along with the middle and small business classes.

 

Literally the Marxists.

A few liberals around here act like I'm supposed to be ashamed that I work in a gas station.

But when you need air in your tires or propane or gas or Black and mild cigars or boil peanuts at 3:00 a.m. I'm the guy you go see

But it's okay I know that probably most of the people that would try to be little me for it sit at home and collect a check

 

Can we keep the writers, artists, musicians, and dancers? If not, just wipe me off the table with them as I would not want to live in a society without them.

Hillary Clinton summed up the liberal elitist mentality quite well when she called approximately 30 some odd million Americans a basket of deplorables.

We have a Constitution that, for the first and only time in history, gives U.S. ... US the power. And we're throwing it away because the MSM of the right, left and even the middle have divided US and have US at each other's throats. It isn't going to be Socialism or Marxism or Fascism or any ism that destroys THESE UNITED STATES and GOVERNMENT BY THE PEOPLE. Come on, it's been the working class since 2016. Corporations have long since gone woke and are a danger to our traditional freedoms. As Orwell said, "...if there is hope, it lies with the proles."

 

Who, in a great deal of irony, now oppose the working class, and want the state to come in and crack heads, Pinkerton like, on truckers and others who defy the state.

 

Then end all China virus mandates in the USA and Canada and this all goes away….

 

How much are the “mandates” costing you personally at the moment? Less than 10% of the truckers are involved in this and that small number are holding two countries hostage

 

And the truckers will be out there doing what they are doing now until those rules end.

 

Between the various border crossings and the capital it’s more than that and most of the protesting truckers are vaccinated. It’s about freedom.

 

Those tiny minority of truckers are about to be put out of a job and hit with up to $100k tickets.

 

The truckers say they won't budge.... But when their trucks are towed and fines are imposed and they can't put food on the table or clothes on their kids... sorry to say, they will have to... right or wrong.

 

Who is going to tow all the trucks? There are not enough truck tow trucks to go around. If the government cracks down the truckers should strike and not supply Ottawa and Windsor any groceries or other goods. Perhaps the concept of a potential of no food in the grocery stores of the urban elites will compel them to give in to freedom. That and American truckers joining in.

 

The world of Ivy League grads are so out of touch with reality they actually have to be told this. I’ve been saying this for years. The people in this article would survive if the world had some sort of event that killed society functions. Your Ivy League silver spoons would be first to die.

 

Since they're a tiny minority and the vast majority are against their action, there'll be enough tow trucks. Beside, if push come to shove, there's always the cities, provincial and federal (including the military) tow trucks they can borrow. Or better yet, just put those truck on auction by the side of the raod since their owner won't have permits to operate them anyway.

 

Actually the U.S. mimics the entire series, I found it strikingly similar to where the U.S. "Politicians overreach" has been headed.. Although I have yet to figure out the one were it was all war, starvation and no comingling... Could be the authors vision of what could happen if we tussle with Mother Russia
