"MIAMI, July 31 (Reuters) - An aide to former U.S. President Donald Trump appeared in Miami federal court on Monday to face charges he tried to help the former president hide secret documents taken upon leaving office.

Carlos De Oliveira, the property manager of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, did not enter a plea as he has yet to obtain local counsel. A judge scheduled his arraignment for Aug. 10."

Gee , I wonder if the Orange Stain will spring for a lawyer for his aide. If he doesn't , then it's another witness to flip for the DOJ.

I guess Carlos is not rolling over for Biden's DOJ. Good for him.

We'll see. He'll be back on Aug. 10th.

There really is no downside here. If he flips, good. If he doesn't and gets convicted, that's good too since he will have conspired with the Orange Stain.
If he gets off, no harm done and the transcript of any testimony can be used against the Orange Stain.

Let's think about this for a second: the DOJ convicts and imprisons an Hispanic man, just so they can't get to Trump. What could go wrong?

I'm just stunned, stunned I tell ya, at how aggressively Garland goes after certain people and how lax he is with others. Who will Garland go after next, the prior owners of Mar-a-Lago?

I think Garland is so corrupt that, for his own protection, he needs to make sure no republican takes office in 2025, otherwise he just might end up in the slammer.

You spelled smith wrong, and he’s going after criminals. Trump seems to surround himself with them, no matter who the AG is.

They know Trump is going to go scorched earth on their asses if he gets elected. They're scared to death that the chickens are coming home to roost.

Are you suggesting that if the Orange Stain gets back into office he will, illegally and immorally, abuse the powers of the office like he did in the past to take revenge on his political opponents ?

    How banana republic of him.

It would be his duty as a president to clean up the corruption in his own government... he would be derelict to not replaced questionable behavior....we are finding out when Trump called Ukraine about corrupt behavior by the previous VP, he got impeached for that, when it was all true...... and that would include both Republican and Democrat... They already sicked a special counsel on him when he fired Comey... so we can expect the same behavior again by the DOJ..... That was after Sessions and Rosenstein recommended to Trump that Comey be fired..... strange part.... Rosenstein was the one that turned around and put his buddy Mueller on the special counsel after recommending Comey fired... Trump may have tripped up once, but it won't happen again... the ole fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me...

Trump fired Comey at the recommendation of Rosenstein and Sessions..

That was then. If he gets elected, he won't be a rookie anymore. He learned a lot in those four years and since.

Although he was given bail, his lawyers at least persuaded the judge to have the plea hearing at a later date, like August 10th I believe. But I expect him to plead not guilty, othrwise the bail of $100k was a waste of time.

So if the Orange Stain get in , his first duty in cleaning up the government would be to confess to all his crimes, resign and check into a federal prison.

Somehow I don't see that sociopath doing that.

I didn't cheer for the Orange Stain's antics after he lost the election. You have me confused with a MAGA supporter.

If you have not shown Trump guilty of the many allegations now, on top of the allegations from past.. you probably need to give it up….
