Trump's inner circle is already going on offense against the lawfare. Letitia James campaigned on targeting Trump, and then proceeded to go after him in ways they admit they've never done before while using a new definition of the statute that they claim has "no limits." Then they promised every other resident of NY that they wouldn't apply the Trump standard to them.

I also read a report that Juan Merchan is potentially going to throw out the conviction. I would imagine the last thing he wants is an inquiry into him and his family along with the many procedural and constitutional violations in Trump's criminal trial.

I think whoever Trump taps for AG will make sure to shine a flashlight on all the lawfare that has occurred during Biden's term.

 

While I agree with him, he could have left out the body shaming part.

 

Trump learned a lot during his first term. He won't make the same mistakes he did then. Especially when it comes to figuring out who can be trusted and who can't.
