Disgorgement is absolutely standard. It is a legal principle dating back centuries.
Civil courts have awarded damages based on disgorgement before and will again.

The only reason you don’t like it because the calculation is so high and is against your guy.

Those who live by lawfare often become its targets.

    Disgorgement is a penalty.

Furthermore you can't engage in disgorgement based upon gross illicit gains. disgorgement awards must be limited to wrongdoers’ net profits as opposed to their gross illicit gains.

And ole Engoron used the "gross illicit gains" calculation.

Yea a decades long law that's never had a single case with no victim, no fraud and a bank that said they did their own evaluation. I doubt you honestly believe that NY real estate investors have never over valued property to get loans. It's a bought and paid for judge and DA that are counting their cash for pulling this off during an election year. Politics 101!

Also the democrats have been saying Trump is a dictator and he's going to destroy the constitution, the American way of life and the country itself.

So that means if he gets elected, you're gonna leave right?

Not right away, but soon after November, and even if DJT loses the election.

I said it before. If you're a democrat you better PRAY they cheated in 2020. Because if they didn't and they aren't going to cheat in 2024, the Dems are going to catch a good old fashioned passionate asswhooping and get their shoes, coat and their hat "tooken" at the polls in November.

Hey, you are barking up the wrong tree. If you would have read my previous posts, you would have noticed that I am an index fund investor, and I don't time the market depending on who is in the WH. No, that would be MAGA, who seem to think the country is only great when Trump is in the WH.

American politicians have never been cheating challenged. ;-)
IMO, DJT will need an overwhelming majority of the popular vote to have a chance for an EC win.

The markets are performing well under Biden. A real correction now and rate cuts would be perfect for his campaign.
It would also provide an opportunity to buy low -- again.
    We are overdue. :)

The "**** those guys" vote will certainly go to DJT.

Just like the property evaluations that no one on the left can tell us what it's actually worth, no one on the left can make this judgement make sense to anyone and why it got immediately dropped today and will be overturned on its merits. NY is already running damage control from the lunacy.

Why would they reduce the size of the judgement?

They took a third down, with 10 days to pay.

DFT starts trading tommorow and Trump will short it.

The judgment wasn’t changed, he’s still gonna have to pay the same in the end

The interest he will earn on the money staying with him as he now gets to his appeal is more than many of the forum members here make in a year... combined.
