    partly his ego, half his life consists of looking at himself, then the reality factor must revolve endlessly to entertain himself no matter if it's fantasy or real or even if it's incredibly damaging to himself. he needs constant adulation and stimulation. he's always been out of control but since he was supposedly raping little girls he kept it as low as he could and still make the NY scene despite being loathed by N'Yawkez.

    It's only a "crime" when the law has been broken! So therefore it's only a crime once the court "agreed that the law had been broken."
