I say let them expire and cut welfare then pay off our debt

Dream on. The adding to tax collections will do nothing for the debt. The fools in Congress will only spend more money.

For Democrats it’s a matter of “fairness.” Anyone who is successful and earns a decent income deserves to be punished in the world of progressivism. At least Republicans believe in letting successful people keep some of their income. Unfortunately they too spend too much money.

Those tax cuts obviously depend on who wins the election, not just the Presidency but the House and Senate as well. But frankly, I think tax cuts need to have spending cuts to go along with it. Our deficit is too high to add to it for this.

We haven’t seen a true conservative leader since Gingrich

Oh good, then we can raise the Capital Gains tax and Corporate income tax brackets back to pre-Trump levels as well.

And by welfare, I assume you mean Corporate welfare. I'm all for cutting corporate welfare.

I hope they expire. Americans are undertaxed.

As a people we have repeatedly demonstrated our large appetite for government. We should pay for it.

the people who are seduced by politicians promising them the most government are those least likely to have to pay for it-that is why things are so buggered up

There's probably something to that, but what is surely true is that we cannot go on forever spending more than we have.

the progressive income tax is a scheme that allows politicians to buy the votes of the many and only stick it to a minority
