Trump flips out after Fox’s Chris Wallace tells him Joe Biden doesn’t support defunding police

I read a Guardian Article today the thrust of which was that, ironically, Trump IS re-uniting America. Great. Things is...the opinion, well researched and grounded, was that the developing unity is AGAINST Trump.

About 100 days to go.

 

I would not misunderestimate the mental competence of the American voter. There are a lot of poorly educated people in the US and trump is a desperate demagogue, so we will see him and his gang mount the most vicious and hysterical campaign in decades.
Biden has his own weaknesses, and although they pale in comparison to trump’s, they can be exploited.
I do hope that the country is still smart enough to see through trump’s demagoguery and are as repulsed by his total lack of character as I am.

 

Given some of the rally video interviews I have seen of some Americans and the absurd comments they make (totally honestly I readily admit, but they are cringeworthy in their astounding blind idolising ignorance) there is no way I could ever OVER estimate the 'mental competence' of some American voters. Look at how many vicious murdering cults there have been there....Manson et al.

 

So when Trump is wrong, he's 'lying' and when anyone else is wrong "We all know that people will be saying all sorts of things in this election..."

They used to mean different things up here, too. But when BLaMtiFa across the nation started chanting 'Defund the Police' and mayors in every blue city said 'we agree' and all the corporate MSM in unison declared that 'defund' actually just means 'realocate some of the funds to social programs' then the words 'defund' and 'reallocate' and 'redistribute' lost any realistic distinction in the context of police funding.

To put another way, either Trump is lying to demonize Biden and dozens of mayors and city councils are lying to BLaMtiFa to placate them, or 'defund' and 'reallocate funds' now mean the same thing. It can't be both ways.

And then we have the added confusion: is Trump and/or Biden using the legal definition of 'defund' or the medias new definition of 'defund'?

Who the F knows.

And Biden is against abolishing the police. He is also for increasing funds to police forces that meet standards.

Trump was dead wrong.

His campaign did not say they want to defend. In fact, they said the exact opposite.

The funny thing here to me is that trump did not make this argument. If he had taken that quote and mis-applied it, as you have done, then he would have come across as a typical politician who knows how to takes the words of his opponents and then craft a new message appropriately.

Instead, he said. "Let's go!" And demanded his aides to bring out the Biden-Sanders policy proposals and looked through the document for several minutes while he floundered and failed to find any evidence to support his claim that Biden wants to defund the police.

You are smarter than is necessary to believe that a quote from a campaign staffer suddenly means that the candidate or the campaign espouses that point of view.
