    Nothing gets me down.

I simply am an advocate for our nation and its institutions. Trump, and his continued supporters, pose an existential threat to both. I will oppose them with everything I can.

You are very, very confused about the "standard" being presented. Please try again.

Whaaaat? How is our economy booming and unemployment at historic lows when china and the rest of the world are raping us due to our weak magnanimous policies?

It's simply amazing that people swallow the bullshit of being the victim and winners at the same time.

It is called a recession. And, yes, we've been on a recovery ever since that recession. Which is why it is intellectually bankrupt to play make-believe that Trump deserves credit for the trends he inherited.

But you said it was trending UP 2.6% to 1.9% I believe is trending down, and a significant decline at that!

You need more than two data points for a trend line. Yes, overall the trend has been moving in a positive direction since 2009.

Oh snap, another person who didn't actually read what I said and is making up a "standard" of crediting presidents for economic growth when that is what I've consistently criticized.

In fact, I am not. All of the policies, funding, improvements etc were accomplished prior to the Obama administration being sworn in. If you deny that the effect in the economy we are now seeing is a product of Trump because you want Obama to take the credit, you're also then required to consider the achievements of Bush as they also created the economic recovery you want Obama to receive credit for. You don't get to have it both ways.

There is eight data points on the graph and it shows Mr. Obatards record of increases from stimulus, "Quantum Easing" and then sever drops until the next injection of funny money :) In 2016 he ran out of congressional approvals and funny money and his shlt show fell right back to 2011 and 2013 NEW norms ;)

Indeed you are. You are trying to make this about crediting presidents for economic growth when that is precisely the opposite of what I've said over and over again.

I've repeatedly refuted the idea that Obama should take the credit. I've done so in this thread. Hence where you went off the rails.

I don't want it both ways. I don't want Obama to receive credit for it. Just let me know how many more times I need to repeat that before you acknowledge it and I'll put it all together in one post. Will a dozen or so times do?

You cited 2 data points in your last post. 2. Not 8. If you want a realistic view of GDP, try to actually look at the GDP in real dollars over time.

Again, the only people crediting Trump are those unable or unwilling to read a graph.

I'm ok with giving GW some credit. If it weren't for some ill thought out wars I'm sure the record would be much better, at least on the deficit front.
Look, the actions that trump has taken so far, at least on trade, are known to be toxic to an economy. There's no one with a shred to economic knowledge that will disagree with that statement.

    Bush increased the debt 101%.
    Obama increased the debt 89%.
Trump is on track to match Obama.

    Reagan increased the debt 180%.

Funny money has been the standard for quite awhile.

Still not looking at the graph, huh?

You cited 2 when I told you were relying on 2 data points. I can quote you again if you want. If you want to look at all 11 of the data points, by all means do so, and this time try drawing a trend line through all of the data points. I can do it for you in Excel if you want.

My beef is that you only cite 2 when you claim there's a downward trend and you refuse to actually look at GDP over time.

I suppose at least no one who is only focused on the short term. Everyone I know understand, however, that the short term pain turns into long term sustainable improvement and performance for this nation's economy. Making countries that illegally dump responsible for those decisions is important for everyone. Unless everyone adopts the production that allows countries like China to undercut production costs by not providing their work force with living wages, what is your complaint? That you want to be an underpaid, undervalued cog like folks in China? Or Vietnam?

    Wrong.

When Bush II left the stock market had crashed and the US economy was losing 750,000 jobs a month.

Or is your attention span that short?
