http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/442059/dont-blame-clinton-trump-2016-wouldve-beaten-obama-2012 Trump would have been smashed in the popular vote but the key takeaway is the degree to which Trump appealed in this election to those counties in battleground states (like northern Ohio). Trump spoke to a 'forgotten' people and had a resounding message. He gathered under his umbrage those folks that were more worried about the state of the country versus appeasing the global stage. It's shocking but not really that surprising.
You can't play what ifs. Especially when dealing with Obama, he had broad personal appeal. His policies were not very popular in many of the states Trump won, but he, as a person, is very likable. I don't think Christ himself could have beaten Obama in either election.
it is surprising that a king took time out of his lavish lifestyle for 4 years of government housing to save the peasants. the other kings would have let the American dream be forgotten.
Will you stop trying to end the electoral college system just because Hillary Clinton won the popular vote?
