Abusing them to create fascism is wing
Accusations mean nothing. Price it or it didn't happen.

He could have played this so much better and smarter. But as you say, he lacks in the smarts department, but makes up for it with BS and manipulation.

His fatal flaw is his character.
A person with good character, who respected his country, would have conceded graciously after losing the election, like every other potus candidate in history, and today he would be leading easily and assured a historic victory as the new comeback kid.
I read an article that noted we can overcome someone with bad policies but not someone with a bad heart. And trump has a bad heart.
He has to poison his surroundings to make a suitable environment for himself. He can’t survive in a world that isn’t all about him.
I hope the trials show voters what a superficial, one dimensional person trump really is, focused only on nursing his grudges.
The more he talks, the more boring and tedious he sounds, and his demented word salads are also getting worse.
He could end up in a captain Queeg moment.

Declaring personal expenses as business expenses was illegal. Which bit don't you get?

I find interesting that all these people take up the cause of an alleged felon. If somebody broke into their neighbors house, would they take their side? If somebody raped their neighbor, would they be singing his praise?

A possible civil infraction, not a crime. And in Trumps businesses where public image is important, it could easily be argued that it is a business expense. Up until December 2017 businesses could deduct as business expense hush money paid for sexual abuse claims. Members of Congress have made such payments and deductions.

Much like they took up the cause of an alleged Russian operative. The allegations were fabricated BS.

A deflection to Members of Congress does nothing to help your argument, nor will it do anything to help Sore Loser Trump's defense.

I notice you cut a few of my sentences.

If somebody broke into their neighbors house, would they take their side? If somebody raped their neighbor, would they be singing his praise?

Trump is innocent until proven guilty, just like the hypotheticals above. I can understand not jumping the gun on a guilty verdict, but would you be singing their praise?

Because Trump neither broke into some ones house or raped anyone. I usually ignore the buckets of irrelevancy served up here.

The money was not used to defend a claim. It was used to cover up a personal matter and then declared as a business expense. No different to paying a prostitute and declaring that as a business expense

Where else do you think they would have been reported? On the back of an envelope?

What a GREAT post !!!!! You nailed who the man is very eloquently.

And the part that I just don't understand that those who support him actually think he is the opposite. That he "cares about them", and the is "fighting for them", and yet he has a very public history of doing everything for himself, and screwing everyone else over.

Then there is the ridiculous double standard they have for him:

    - If Joe Bidens DIL took over the DNC, the right would loose their minds calling it a "mafia family". But it doesn't even register a question for the right......
    - If Joe Biden said he was going to keep all DNC money for his own campaign the right would be loosing their minds right now. They would call him a dictator, but when Trump does it it is "for the good of the country"
    - If Joe Biden was on Trial the right would claim he should step out of the race for the good of the country. But for Trump it makes them want him more
    - If Joe Biden said that all down ballot candidates needed to give him a cut of their donations, the right would call him a "mafia boss". But with Trump, its just another Thursday ;)
    - If Joe Biden had shown top secret docs to party guests the right would want him hung in the public square - yet they DO want Biden charged to taking them (color me shocked)

The obvious and ridiculous double standard is amazing to me, but not surprising. Its like Donald Trump never existed before 2016 in their minds. EVERYONE knew who he was, and what he was capable of doing, and what he has done. Yet daily, the party that calls themselves the "patriots" seem to forget that when it comes to the man. Trump stole top secret documents, he didnt "mistakenly remove them", kept them in his bathroom, showed them to party guests, refused to return them, and his supporters actually think the Secret Service was wrong to actually raid the house and take them back, yet Joe Biden who mistakenly took them, VOLUNTEERED that he had them, and gave them back "should be in jail"

"any such tax related charges" would be found in court records.

Manafort was Trump's campaign manager and was making a bunch of money as an unregistered foreign agent.

That's key to why he went to prison.

Further, he was working on getting Russian permission for a Trump hotel in Moscow.

When visiting Putin, he had a significant conversation with Putin that was not allowed to be recorded. That is unheard of for ALL US presidents. The content may not be released, but it is always recorded. So, Russia knew the conversation and nobody in the USA did.

And, you suggest we ignore Trump's connections with Russia?

    Seriously??

The IRS and state tax authority knows what Trump told them.

Like in his business fraud trial, one issue is whether what he reported was truthful.

What was the personal expense. If you enter into an NDA because you're campaigning for president that's about the campaign isn't it?
