When Biden said we were getting out of Afghanistan, I applauded. We have been there much too long. However, I did not believe he was so incompetent as to screw it up as bad as he did.

Actually Trump had a plan to pull out of Afghanistan that included getting the civilians out first and taking our equipment. Biden ignored Trump's plan, just like the ignored and or rescinded most of Trump's EOs. All that mattered to Biden was dissing Trump and undoing his policies. Now we have 2 wars and a lousy economy.

    * Over 2400 US servicemen were killed in Afghanistan, with over 20,000 wounded. And 3,937 military contractors were killed. (Note: 4,550 service members & 3,793 military contractors died in Iraq.)
    * ~1.2 million Afghans and Pakistanis have been killed in the war (the US expanded its war in Afghanistan into Pakistan in 2004), and displaced millions more. (Note: An estimated 2.4 million were killed in Iraq.)
    * The war in Afghanistan lasted nearly 20 years.
    * The war in Afghanistan cost over $2 trillion.

It was time to get out.

The 13 additional deaths during the evacuation was not Biden's fault, but the fault of military planners.

It was all Biden's fault. He's the Commander In Chief. He botched Trump's plan and caused a FUBAR pullout. Like Obama once opined: "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f..k things up"

Then why didn't Trump do it during his term? He knew what was coming, and kicked the can to Biden because he didn't have the courage to do it, though he paid lip service to getting US out of Afghanistan for four years..

    Lousy economy?

Trump handed Biden a nation in shambles, and Biden will hand the next president a remarkable economy

FACT, we produce more petroleum than any other country.

FACT: Due to the kind of oil, we must ship all of it out, and we import all of our oil.

The high inflation was due to:

    1. CARES act, (Trump) $2 trillion fiat currency (quantitative easing) into the M1 economy by the fed.
    2. ARP (Biden) another $2 trillion fiat currency released into the M1 economy.

But for these QEs, there would be temporal fluctuations, but not more than 3% or so than the usual.

In short, the QEs were necessary because of the threat of economic collapse the pandemic, and it was world wide, the inflation was world wide.

How was it Biden's fault? He gives the order to pull out, while Pentagon officials have to decide how to do it safely & efficiently.

No VP has the power to do much, other than act as a cheerleader for the boss.

Your characterization implies she just sat around the offices twiddling her thumbs, which is, of course, a partisan bullshit spin. We get it, you don't like Harris. But, despite the fact that the VP job is mostly cheerleading for the boss, in fact...

Kamala Harris has taken on key issues with notable impact as Vice President. She’s led the administration's efforts on voting rights, standing as a major advocate against restrictive state laws, bringing national attention to protecting democracy for all Americans. Harris has also pushed forward broadband expansion, focusing on rural and underserved areas as part of the broader infrastructure initiative, aiming to bridge the digital divide that holds many Americans back.

She’s championed economic empowerment, especially for women and minority-owned small businesses, directing billions to programs like the Small Business Administration to aid struggling entrepreneurs. On immigration, Harris has tackled the root causes driving migration from Central America—poverty, violence, and corruption—securing private sector commitments to invest in these regions to reduce the need for risky migration journeys.

She was and is strong advocate for workers’ rights, Harris has voiced support for the right to unionize, especially significant during a rise in union activity across the nation. She’s prioritized maternal health, focusing on reducing maternal mortality rates, particularly in Black and Indigenous communities, by making healthcare more accessible and safer for expectant mothers.

In her work on climate and environmental justice, Harris has backed ambitious climate policies, including support for the historic Inflation Reduction Act, and has aimed to address climate impacts on marginalized communities, ensuring equity in environmental initiatives. Additionally, Harris has consistently supported criminal justice reform, advocating for reduced mandatory minimums and more equitable sentencing, particularly for non-violent drug offenses.

Kamala Harris has been a relentless advocate for a fairer, more just America, championing issues of economic equality, justice reform, environmental justice, and the fundamental right to vote, maintaining a presence on the frontlines of these critical challenges.

Done. Sometimes putting our military at risk is the right thing to do. That is why we have a military. Going into quesitonable wars is not the right thing to do.

According to Ask AI & Question AI www.iAsk.ai:

    Military Advice for Departing Afghanistan

The military advice regarding the withdrawal from Afghanistan primarily revolved around ensuring a safe and orderly exit of U.S. forces while maintaining stability in the region and protecting Afghan allies. Key points of military advice included:

    1. Conditions-Based Withdrawal: Military leaders advocated for a conditions-based approach to withdrawal, meaning that U.S. troops should only leave once certain security conditions were met. This would involve assessing the Taliban’s compliance with the Doha Agreement and ensuring that they were not posing an imminent threat to U.S. interests or Afghan government forces.

    2. Maintaining a Presence: There was significant military counsel suggesting that a residual force should remain in Afghanistan to support Afghan security forces and counter-terrorism efforts against groups like al-Qaeda and ISIS-K. This presence was deemed necessary to prevent a power vacuum that could lead to increased violence and instability.

    3. Evacuation of Allies: Military advisors emphasized the importance of prioritizing the evacuation of Afghan allies, including interpreters and other personnel who had worked with U.S. forces during the conflict. They recommended establishing secure pathways for these individuals to leave safely before a full troop withdrawal occurred.

    4. Intelligence and Surveillance Capabilities: The military also advised maintaining intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capabilities in the region even after troop withdrawal to monitor Taliban activities and potential threats to U.S. interests.

    5. Coordination with NATO Allies: It was suggested that any withdrawal plan should involve close coordination with NATO allies who had been part of the mission in Afghanistan, ensuring that their concerns were addressed and that there was a unified approach to the exit strategy.

    6. Avoiding Rapid Withdrawal: Many military officials warned against a rapid or hasty withdrawal, which could lead to chaos on the ground, similar to what occurred during the final stages of the evacuation in August 2021 when thousands of Afghans rushed to Kabul airport seeking escape as Taliban forces advanced.
In summary, military advice centered on a careful, strategic approach that prioritized safety, stability, and support for Afghan partners rather than an abrupt end to U.S. involvement.

Top 3 Authoritative Sources Used in Answering this Question

    • House Foreign Affairs Committee Report: This report provides detailed insights into the investigation surrounding President Biden’s decision-making process regarding the Afghanistan withdrawal, including testimonies from military officials about their recommendations.

    • Doha Agreement Documentation: The original agreement between the U.S., Taliban, and Afghan government outlines specific conditions for withdrawal which informed much of the military’s strategic planning regarding troop levels and timelines.

    • Statements from Military Leaders (e.g., General Mark Milley): Public statements made by high-ranking military officials provide context on their perspectives regarding troop withdrawals, operational readiness, and ongoing commitments in Afghanistan prior to departure.

Their advice was to keep the 2500 soldiers in Afghanistan, that's it.

That's hardly equals what you are implying, that Bided disregarded some kind of strategic military exit strategy that would have prevented the difficulties. Not only that, the Afghanistan Gov bailed after Trump cut them out of the reduction negotiations. The stability of Afghanistan was highly contingent on the presence of U.S. and allied forces, as well as the support of the Afghan government (which no longer existed so keeping 2500 troops there would make no sense).

The claim that Biden disregarded the generals' advice primarily refers to their recommendation to keep a residual force of 2,500 troops in Afghanistan. Biden chose to proceed with a full withdrawal, which was in line with the Doha Agreement signed under the Trump administration. The generals did not provide an alternative exit strategy; their advice was focused on maintaining a small troop presence to prevent the collapse of the Afghan government and military.

This doesn't answer my question. What specific advice did Biden reject or oppose - and did it directly cause the death of 13 servicemen?

'Voting rights' is a Democrat meme meaning blocking efforts to I.D. voters. Joe Biden, with his bad Covid and energy policies, is responsible for the downturn in the economy which has minorities suffering. Like typical Democrats they create problems and then spend our tax dollars saying they will solve what they themselves created.

There is no such thing as 'climate justice' or 'environmental justice' they are only bureaucratic terms used to glean even more tax dollars from hard working Americans and enrich Democrat controlled programs that do nothing but give lip service to their unscientific and fake proclamations.

If Kamala were so concrerned about a 'more just America' she would look into all the fake charges and biased actions her own party has mounted against Trump.

Kamala was supposed to fix our border but she sat around doing nothing and now we have a crisis that she and the Democrats are totally ignoring.

the only point Biden disregarded was the point of allowing 2500 troop members to remain.

He did NOt disregard any exit strategies in planning.

Thanks. That pretty much answers the question of whether the 13 US casualties were the direct result of Biden's decisions. Biden was correct. It makes no sense to retain a force of only 2500 troops in Afghanistan after a major pull out. How long could such a small force last with the Taliban advancing, and the Afghan forces bailing? It would seem that Biden actually saved 2500 lives.

AI: Did Biden disregard all military advice regarding exit planning in the Afghanistan withdrawal?

No. The primary point Biden disregarded was the recommendation to keep 2,500 troops in Afghanistan. He did not disregard the exit strategies in planning. The military planners' advice focused on maintaining a small troop presence to prevent the collapse of the Afghan government and military. Biden chose to proceed with a full withdrawal, which was in line with the Doha Agreement signed under the Trump administration. The exit strategy itself was not disregarded; the decision was about whether to maintain a residual force.
You really need to learn how to put questions to AI correctly, so the answers won't appear to support your predetermined conclusions, and claims circulating the right wing echo chambers. It's called 'effective prompt engineering'. I've been studying it for quite a while, now. Please catch up.

Using your AI source, I put the same question, it's conclusion:

Biden did not disregard all military advice but chose not to follow certain recommendations advocating for a different approach to exit planning.
It looks like CoPilot provided the 100% correct answer, yours came back as 95% correct. (in terms of odds).

Though US Military has weaponry and tactical advantages, air support, etc., but the Taliban's 60,000 and additional militia support could easily push that to
    2 - 300,000, I wouldn't feel to comfortable in that situation, if i were a soldier or marine. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-58187410
