I'm posting this because it's funny and because it links regional media that might prove interesting in the comming days. The Straits Times has dropped its pay wall and provides an interesting perspective where u.s. media fails. Cheers! SINGAPORE - Would one gladly pay for a selfie with United States President Donald Trump or North Korean leader Kim Jong Un? Well, $10 at least will get you a picture with their lookalike. About 100 fans gathered at Bugis Junction Mall on Saturday (June 9) afternoon to meet and take pictures with the impersonators, who made headlines in February when they appeared at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. The meet-the-fan session at Bugis Junction, dubbed The "Real" Trump Kim Summit, was held ahead of the historic meeting between the two leaders on Tuesday (June 12). The "summit" at the shopping mall was hosted by Vybes, a global start-up headquartered in Singapore. The company says its mission is to "connect influencers to their fans in a unique way." https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/trump-kim-act-turns-up-at-bugis-junction-mall
They tried an Obama/Kim act, but they couldn't fid an actor willing to send all day grabbing his ankles, and offering up his backside to the Kim character..
I love Singapore but bowling is about as popular here as "cornholing" (I'm not making this up), a "sport" that ESPN actually covers and treats seriously. http://www.espn.com/espn/story/_/id/13236785/american-cornhole-championships-x https://blog.timesunion.com/bowling/mediocre-rating-for-pbas-return-to-abc-television/119/ Oh well....to each his own. No one can force me to watch.
