It's official, Trump is leaving office with the same approval rating as George W Bush and Jimmy Carter at 34%

The only president to leave office with a lower approval rating was Harry Truman at 32%, however Trump's entire term averages out to a 41% approval rating throughout, which gives him the lowest average since they began recording presidential approval ratings

Trump is also be the first president since Herbert Hoover to lose the house majority, the senate majority, and and reelection.

Similar circumstances as well(Depression and the presumption of Hoover's that the market would correct it as well.). I don't see the markets as ze enemy, but nor do I think it can be entirely left to its own devices. It's like George Washington said about the government: The markets are not eloquence or reason, they're fire. They can be a very helpful tool in the right hands and a fierce master in the wrong hands.

It's the exact same landslide that Trump got.

I think what's unique about Trump's fall is how much his approval rating fell between election day and inauguration day. Most presidents see an increase between election day and inauguration day. George W Bush actually had the lowest approval rating of all time on election day at 25%, but then by inauguration day it went up 9 points to 34%. George Bush 41 had his approval rating go from 34% on election day, all the way up to 56% by inauguration day

but Trump? his approval rating went from 46% on election day, and then fell all the way down to 34% by inauguration day. Plainly put, most presidents show dignity and grace when leaving office, as well as respect for the peaceful transition of power, which in the end leaves a lasting impression on their legacy. Trump is the first president in history to outright try to disrupt an election from being certified.. and that will forever be the last impression of his term in office. I think with COVID and the economy people will question what was and wasn't his fault, where as the conduct he displayed in defeat will be remember as being 100% his fault.

The problem is that polls have become useless. The polls for this election were the worst in history. Unfortunately the pollsters have taken it upon themselves to manufacture sentiment instead of simply report it. The MSM has completely demolished any shred of credibility they once had and have made detecting actual reality nearly impossible. Trump's actual approval could be anywhere 30-50%, the only thing I am sure of is that we will never know.

And Trump still rules the day as the focus of threads are on him and not the future under Biden/Harris.

Never was a Trump fan, but it amazes me how many people are so focused on the man.

So the Dems are a cult because it is liberals that remain focused on him?

With Truman people thought better of him afterwards, I seriously doubt that with Trump. With George W Bush, people may not have liked him as a Pres, but he didn't become a jerk, unilke Trump.

It will be interesting if Trump really tries to start another political party. I don't think he understands that level of effort that would required on his part.

He may try...although I doubt it. And, I think you're right about his lack of understanding.

All this despite more wins in 4 years than Biden in his entire life lol.

that’s the power of the msm and social engineering.
Makes no difference, Trump will be remembered well by history.

just takes time for the overly emotional left to relax lol.

History is recorded in a number of fashions these days. You can’t erase the evidence. People will see it for what it is when they are not emotionally invested. History will remember his presidency well.

for instance creating an impression of lawlessness under Trump because dems refused federal aid won’t be remembered as a Trump failure but a dem failure. Despite how people choose to see it today.

You'll have to be more specific. What refusal of federal aid?
