Just like he lied about seeing people jump to their deaths from his penthouse and just like he lied about helping recover survivors. I'm quite the avid fan and user of David slings.
I can throw a 2 to 4 oz egg Rock a good 120 yards on a 45° angle of release.

At a hundred foot I can get a pretty straight line flat throw, I have hit beer cans at 100 ft multiple occasions, but never twice in a row..... But very close like inches away.

If I tried about 10 more thousand times, you can rest assured I'll get two in a row. I hit a dumpster out in the boondocks the other day. A good 3 oz Stone traveling at least 70 miles an hour, probably closer to 100, but every bit of 70.

You should have heard it, it rang like a church bell and you probably could have heard it 300 yards off. It's very quiet out in the boonies

 

I never heard that, but if he was there and his bone spurs and little hands allowed him to help in any way, I'm going to take a guess and say that he was pickpocketing. He has a tendency for everybody's money to end up in his possession somehow so there's no reason to think that's outside the realm of possibility and the only logical explanation.

I never said he lied. I said he's lied before and that I'd need evidence to believe him. If another pro golfer provides witness, then yes, I am more likely to believe him. Short of any actual evidence, the more likely scenario is that he is doing what he almost always does . . . lying through his teeth.

On a side note.... I always call my target when people are watching me throw rocks with my sling because if you hit it and you didn't call it no one will ever believe you..... And you always have to have a Target because if you don't aim in anything in general you will never hit anything in general.

Fun fact.... The world record for a sling projectile is 450 some odd yards. Kind of makes my 120 yards on average and maybe my 150 at best kind of humble....

Golf balls also work pretty good in a sling.

Maybe? I haven't seen evidence of that, but maybe it happened. I haven't heard from a pro golfer attesting to being a witness. That would definitely be good backup evidence.
