    It IS a valid argument. The origin of the Kenya story is clearly found in his own promotional material (unless, of course, he actually WAS born there, in which case THAT would be the origin), and it certainly casts doubt on the validity of his later claims. If ANYONE claimed for 16 years to be born somewhere, and then changed their story, it would be suspicious. If that change only occurred when the original story became politically inconvenient, it is doubly suspicious.

    But hey, to the credit of Obama's literary agent, by 2007 they had at least got the name of his book right, even if they were STILL claiming at that time that he was Kenyan born. :applause:

    The KKK didn't just come from nowhere either. But that it was stocked with DEMOCRATS early on, does NOT make it OK for REPUBLICANS to discriminate NOW.

How many thousands of hours did they cover this birther nonsense, when it was all just a big show supporting racism?

    Yep and the irony is that both Obama and the Clintons STARTED birtherism. But now they are trying to rewrite history. Fortunately they are trying to fool leftists, and so it's not a difficult task.

    It's a dead issue. Every minute spent arguing over the Clinton campaign created birther issue is one not spent talking about Hillary's failing health and
    her cover up of her email crimes.
    Frankly I don't care what Donald Trump said about Obama and Kenya and that's not why I'm voting for him. And I really doubt anyone has changed their vote based on this dead issue.

    Why would he apologize? There's probably a sizable amount of his supporters who are birthers too. If anything, changing his stance on it might cost him voters rather than win him voters.

    No, then it becomes a matter of "was he lying then, or is he lying now?" Documents can be forged, you know. For what it's worth, I think his original story was the lie, trying to play up his "black cred", but I can see how someone could come to a different conclusion.

    Pure sophistry. Clinton's campaign promoted it. If trumps campaign promoted that Clinton was a hermaphrodite, would it matter that Trump himself didn't say it on record? Of course not.

    Nothing changed so that Trump needed to address the birther issue. Trump needed (free) publicity for his new hotel opening. That's why he spent most of the time on it and only made a nod to mentioning the birth certificate issue… and no apology.

    I WISH that were true. The TRUTH IS, KELLYANNE, in trying to ENTICE the DONALD into doing the RIGHT thing, cajoled the Donald, by telling him that he could sneak in a teaser for his new hotel. He went whole hog, and that was after playing DITCHUM with the ENTIRE mobile press. And insulting those SUCKERS, while they were still suffering.

    IS THE TRUTH. ANd NOW he is mad as hell for making him RUIN EVERYTHING by telling truths.
