Iran's "better solution" was for the international community to recognize
it too was a nuclear power. This has happened already with North Korea.
Nothing, absolutely nothing was going to stand in the way of Iran becoming
such a power.

 

I'd rather avoid wars in the first place.

Unfortunately, many Americans don't seem to realize, that contrary to the enormous lies told by politicians and corporate news outlets, most US wars are not defensive or just or truthful.

Instead, US wars are almost exclusively generated by a small network of war profiteering interests who exercise majority control over the US government.

This is so painfully obvious, yet there are still a large number of simpletons and brainwashed nationalists (or do I repeat myself?) who still believe the lies and propaganda.

The American people wanted them to do something about ISIS, so they had to drop them somewhere.

 

When one does not care about murder committed in his name and with his money, it suggests one is immoral. It is similar to not caring about torture done in one's name and with one's tax dollars. It demonstrates a lack of character and a lack of conscience and moral guidance.

 

These things did concern our Founding Fathers. All our universities at the time were Christian seminaries - which means they were all seminarians and highly devout - (although tempered somewhat by the principles of the Enlightenment). Contrary to the current views about the Constitution and our Founding Fathers, they believed that without a strong Christian basis, democracy could not work.

They were right, and we're seeing that today in our government where money not virtue has become the decisive factor on who is elected and who isn't. Are we any better than Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union? I don't think so. We're just killing different people.

True . Infact I believe US itself is Israel . Because make no mistake US's finances and banks, federal reserve , and US's media are in control of jews. They are molding the public opinions through their media into demorats and republicans which are the same at the end of the day.

If it is true and why would the Iraqi PM lie about it - but if it is true, it puts the US as one of the most criminal states in the world. ...now were it any other country, one the US wanted something from and it would be used as an excuse for the US to build up a 'coalition of the willing' to destroy. When you add to that that the President of the United States claimed it was going to commit war crimes and act as Isis does destroying world heritage sites - we have a very rogue President of the US the strongest country in the world, acting in defiance of International law and openly committed to war crimes. This is a very dangerous place for the world to be in.

 

While none of us can know the truth about these things sitting where we are sitting, let me say that Pompeo's attempt to dismiss what Iraq's PM had said was particularly pathetic, not just because of the diversionary comments he made, but the fact that none of the media really challenged him on the nonsense he was saying. For instance:

1- The Iraqi PM has specifically stated that Trump had requested and was fully informed about General Soleimani's visit. Pompeo tried to pretend that confirmation of the story would require talking to the "Saudis", where all it would require would be asking Trump himself! Either Trump wants to claim the Iraqi PM is lying or he admits to what he said. In other words, Pompeo took an account which would come within the personal knowledge of a clearly identifiable person (Trump) and tried to refute it by pointing to the "Saudis" not knowing about such a mission!

2- Pompeo ridiculed the idea that General Soleimani would be used as a 'diplomat' and asked: anyone had seen Soleimani on any diplomatic missions before? Well, the clear answer was: YES. General Soleimani, in fact, was the person who led the delegation from Iran to Moscow that convinced Putin to join forces against ISIS in Syria! And he has undertaken numerous such missions with all sorts of parties in the region as Iran's policies elating to the theater of operation of the axis of resistance, including Iraq and Yemen, was is certainly within his portfolio! In fact, the Saudis had complained in the past about how useless talking to Iran's foreign minister and president would be when it was Iran's leadership and General Soleimani who called the shots on issues they wanted to talk about (Yemen, Syria, Iraq etc).

There is a lot more. But we do live in a 'post fact' world and if Iran's ancient religion saw the universe as a cosmic battle against the forces of falsehood and evil, that cosmic battle has arrived to the fore almost like never before!

 

and of course it is known that the Saud's have been involved with Iran working to de-escalate things. Pompeo is very confident that anything he says his fans will just repeat without any thought or indeed care as to whether it is true or not and unfortunately the US press has given up its responsibility of looking after the people by questioning those in charge.

 

Sources in the White house said the 'whisperer' who convinced Trump to kill Soleimani was Pompeo and that he had always felt that Soleimani was the cause of all America's problems in the Middle East. Basically he was hindering the US from taking complete control of that part of the world. But for what, we don't need the oil?

I think it's because of China. According to an Iraqi official, when Iraq asked the US to rebuild all the infrastructure it destroyed, they were told that the US would only do it if it was given half the oil. They refused, and went to China. The whole area is part of the Chinese Belt and Road initiative, which Washington is trying to hinder.

 

There is one reporter with the courage to question the State Department at the briefings. I think the others fear being banned.

When Pompeo came out with his lies and began laughing about Soleimani being on a diplomatic mission, none of the reporters were laughing. They just sat there stony faced - or at least from what I could tell.
