Trump said "you will find out on Tuesday or Wednesday".

So he lied. Again. Go to 1:20.

And he sent a New Year's tweet which amounted to sticking his tongue out at "my many enemies and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don't know what to do. " He's a bratty teenager in the flabby orange body of a 70-year-old man.
nd he apparently thinks that the job title is "President Of People Who Voted For Me."

This is from the guy that twice voted for Mr. Elections have consequences who never even tried to work with anyone and talked of bitter clingers.

Have these folks learned nothing? So eager to declare Trump's promises dead just like declaring he would never run, never win the nomination and never win the presidency. How did those declarations work out? :roflol:

Some are fixated on Clinton, and will be for years to come. There may be a few folks who still obsess over Wendell Wilkie, I guess.

As for the Novelty Act, click here for a handy checklist of 282 of the campaign promises he made whilst he was raving that the election was "fixed!" and the electoral college system "a disaster!":

Not unusual whatever a candidate promises during the campaign to become dead once he wins. Most who believe those promises believe them because that is what they want to hear, not the reality of the situation. For legislation the caveat Congress must approve and go along should be added to all campaign promises. Legislation wise, Trump shouldn't have a problem with the house, the senate depending on the Senator Reid Nuclear Option use, he may or may not have a problem with the senate.

It's possible to repeal the ACA and keep parts of it in the new legislation. One would be pretty dumb not to get the good in the new legislation while tossing out the bad. Of course, one could accomplish the same thing of a repeal by overhauling the current law. Just gutting it of what you don't want and replacing it with stuff you do. Just as effective, but that would allow Obama to keep his name on it.

Indict Hillary Clinton, who took him seriously? Perhaps some of his most avid supporters. I am very anti-Hillary and I never did. I do think she should have had her security clearance immediately revoked once this came to light and a real deep investigation begun which would have included finding out whom took the classified information off SIPR and put it on NIPR and gone after those who did the same with the stand alone TS SAP network that can only be observed or accessed in a SCIF or ACE.

The wall, once again I never took it seriously. Especially the part about Mexico paying for it. Pure, 100% campaign rhetoric. Now enhanced border surveillance, a stronger E verify, penalties, etc could accomplish the same thing.

Tax releases, who the heck cares outside of Clinton supporters who wanted a gotcha moment. No one voted against Trump because he didn't release his taxes. Personally, I think this tax release thing keeps some good people from throwing their hat into ring. Without, maybe we would have had better candidates than the terrible two.

Deport all illegal aliens, he said it, then walked it back over the next week to deport all illegals who are criminals.

Actually I don't think anyone knows what Trump will or won't try to do. Perhaps he doesn't himself. If one looks at his life long held political views, they were quite liberal in nature. Of course he changed a bunch to run as a republican, but which will win out in the end. His newly expressed views or his life long held up until he announced his run views?

    Time will tell.

So is this weak ass thread. He wasn't elected for the promises he made. I voted for him because he isn't crooked Hillary. He hasn't failed to keep any promises because he isn't the president yet. Is this it? Is this the best you've got?

    sure he was.

if he didn't promise to build a wall and make mexico pay for it, repeal obamacare, ban muslims, renegotiate NAFTA, put tariffs on China, he would not have won

With the exception of #2 which no one cares about, all else is still perfectly valid, this childish nitpicking notwithstanding.

I don't expect him to meet #4 promise and frankly could not care less, nor does the rest of the country . But his tax return issue worked so well for you during the campaign and changed so many minds, didn't it? Do keep harping on this and expect a different result :roflol:

if you think he is going to deport all illegals, repeal all of Obamacare, build a wall on the Mexico border and make them pay for it, I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.

    LOL!!!!!! :roflol:

We'll see what he manages to accomplish in 3 years, meanwhile your OP is absurd and baseless nitpicking gibberish, his promises on Obamacare and the wall are being actively pursued as we speak, the deportations will probably happen after the wall is in place.

if he leaves coverage for pre-conditions and for children up to age 26 intact, and he leaves the ban on ending coverage or raising premiums and deductibles if one gets sick intact, he's basically preserved Obamacare. :)

as for a big giant concrete wall stretching the Mexico border? its not gonna happen

It was never an issue because they were never released and his supporters don't care how much he lies. They don't want to know the truth. Had they been released then it might require denial that exceeds even the capacity for Trump supporters.

Obamacare is a 10,000 page monstrosity with a million health, legal, financial, tax provisions affecting Healthcare providers, insurances, lawyers, tax preparers and all americans

The 2 lines (out of these 10,000 pages) in your post cover the good part of Obamacare and Trump is smart enough to keep it. The rest will have to be repealed and your nitpicking is actually funny.

The wall construction is alreay on the Congress agenda, as you well know.

I have no problems if he doesn't keep any of these. The two I'm concerned about are Social Security and Medicare, which he promised to leave alone but seems to be going full steam ahead on dismantling

I don't care. If they find better ways to deal with illegal immigration, more power to them. Trump supporters are infinitely smarter and more practical than libs in their bubbles and safe spaces. Trump will be judged by results, not methods, certainly not childish liberal nitpicking.

BBBBut Obama is not even close.
Trump is a divisive, vindictive, thin-skinned brat. Here's a 70-year-old man who spends his nights stewing and tweeting about people who have insulted him.
You expect messages about "my enemies" from Kim Jong Un, not from the President of the United States.
Back to the OP - if he promised once he promised 100 times that he would make Mexico pay for his wall, because he's Donald Trump and people do whatever he tells them to do. "Believe me!!!" Now he's pulled a bait & switch - US taxpayers will be paying for his wall. And it might not really be a wall.
If you listened closely to Trump, he pretty clearly spent the last 18 months saying what he thought his audience wants to hear. Now that he has to deliver on those promises, we'll be seeing a whole lot of "can we talk about something else?" "Bbbbbuttt Obama."
You've been conned by a con man.

His promise was the final solution of the illegal immigration problem. I don't care how he accomplishes it as long as he does.

PS libs take Trump literally but not seriously. Trump supporters take him seriously but not literally.

So in your mind letting people dis you and your voters is grown up? Sorry Obama never did. Neither did Clinton. That they chose to do so in different ways is largely meaningless.

Me I make no claims as to what Trump is going to do especially not two weeks before he takes office. You on the other hand seem to own a crystal ball. Hopefully it's better than the one you had before the election that kept telling you Hillary was going to win going away.

It's not about letting people dis you. It's about knowing how to act like an adult, which clearly the oldest president-elect in history does not know how to do.
Here's the thing - if you look at Trump's history, he's a con artist. It's what he does. Whether it's starting a fake university to swindle people, selling his name to shady developers, or putting cheap steaks in fancy boxes and offering them up for $1000. And his presidential campaign was just more of the same con.
He never planned on even trying to deliver on half the stuff he promised, and you guys fell for it.
