In a Banana Republic you might see an opposition leader arrested on TRUMPED UP CHARGES. Furthermore after being arrested that person would probably not be released.

The charges against Trump are real. He has not been locked up. He has a cadre of lawyers defending him (poorly, but defending him nonetheless). He has the same protections anybody accused of a crime would have (and maybe even moreso).

Again, just because someone is a candidate for office does that automatically mean they cannot be subject to an investigation?

Biden let Russia invade Ukraine just like Obama did and neither did nor said. near enough to deter Russia from doing so. The anti air and anti tank weapons Trump provided in the intervening years were crucial to Ukraine in the early days of the war.

 

If this is carried out to any real degree, we will do something about it as soon as the next GOP President is in office. Biden will be facing the music and we will be saying democrats can’t do anything about it.

When Russia invaded Ukraine the conventional wisdom was that the war would be over in a matter of days...a couple of months at most. Kyiv would fall and Putin would install a puppet government.

Here we are nearly a year and a half later and Russia has hardly made any progress at all. Despite having a military that dwarfs that of Ukraine there isn't a single objective that Russia set out to accomplish that has been accomplished. And the main reason for Russia's stunning embarrassment in Ukraine? Joe Biden. Joe Biden's diplomatic efforts was able to put together a coalition that has helped Ukraine hold Russia at bay. He was able to get funding through congress to help Ukraine. He was able to provide military support to Ukraine. And he has done this without a single US casualty.

Yeah, he "let" them all right. He let Russia have all the rope they wanted to hang themselves with.
