One was a protest against police brutality where a small minority took advantage to loot

This is fake news by taking a statement out of context. Trump was talking about the US auto industry if imports from China and Mexico are not reduced.

 

BLM had one advantage, they were protesting over actual events, not some made up conspiracy.

 

yeah they were protesting a scumbag who was killed by a rogue cop and destroyed millions of dollars of black businesses. as to the made up event? no one can prove that vote fraud took place because with mail in ballots, there is no way to prove they were fraudulent-nor if they were legitimate. I believe most of those who protested the election actually believed that there was fraud. As to those who rioted over a scumbag who was killed by a rogue cop--not quite as admirable

 

One can just as easily argue that the 1/6 protestors believed that fraudulent voting had occurred and was the real attack on our constitutional republic

 

So why again were the 1/6 insurrectionists there, because every MAGA took the bait, hook, line and sinker as usual.

They were rioting due to largely made-up versions of the events. For example, they rioted over an armed alleged rapist trying to steal a car and kidnap a child who got shot while trying to flee with the child in the car. He wasn't shot because he was black and police officers didn't value black life as was the made-up conspiracy. He was shot because he deserved to get shot and they protected a black child.

Another person was shot because she let her home be used as a cash house or stash house and when police raided it they opened fire hitting officers. She was shot after violence ensure on the officers while executing a raid, not because she was black as was the conspiracy.

Etc

 

This is the same excuse people use to defend terrorists.

Not really. There had been 60 cases in the courts between the election and 1/6. Not a single one of them showed any evidence of significant voter fraud. To believe that there was puts you in the same group as those who believe the moon landing was faked or that the earth is flat.

That is great. If he loses in Nov., Biden could probably argue that the election was stolen from him and, without evidence, send a mob to the Capitol to stop the certification for Trump. I am sure you'll be less forgiving about the motives of Biden's rioters.

Note, this won't happen because Biden would accept the results of an election. I just want you to go through this thought experiment, because Trump supporters usually have trouble picturing themselves in reversed roles.
