Again, he is NOT the science advisor for the President, the entire web site is satirical, and he has zero, and I mean, zero expertise when it comes to things like landing on the moon. But ignore that, collect your kopecks, and blather away.

 

They wouldn't necessarily be 'in on the hoax', they could have been been fooled just like the rest of us. If you work at the lower levels of (in the context) NASA, you just get on and do your menial job, unknowing of what's going on at boardroom level? And so long as the jolly ol' pay cheques keep going into your bank every month, uncaring of what's going on too.

 

It's possible, but I still think he was schooled to say it. And that's if it actually happened. Hmm!

The site does not matter. You read Trump and others on Twitter. It is important not the site. It is important that the adviser to the US president on science said. It is important that the professor of the Yale University said. It matters. Obviously, having censorship in the American media, not all media outlets write about it.

 

Maybe you are a specialist in the highest category in matters of landing on the moon? If the opinion of the professor at the Yale University is not authoritative for you.

 

Reputable media outlets don't ingulge in conspiracy theory nonsense. Certain people would like to drag them down to that level if they could, however, and regularly attempt to do so by accusing them of publishing "fake news," but in reality it just isn't so.

It doesn't matter who (by title) says something like this, by the way. Even Yale professors can be idiots, especially in areas that are not their expertise. Let us recall James Fetzer, the McKnight University Professor Emeritus turned 9/11 conspiracy theorist. His having held a position at a university to teach in an unrelated field does not make him an expert or any more trustworthy than the next conspiracy theorist. Let these people back their claims up with facts and reason. They never do, and in fact, they typically display an inability to discern what constitutes fact and evidence where their CTs are concerned. People often do this where they develop a vested interest in a belief. It happens all the time where religious claims are concerned, and sadly where political beliefs and claims are concerned also.

 

What about his being a professor at Yale gives him authority to speak about the Apollo missions, in your view?

It's hard to understand the appalling stupidity of people who claim the moon landings were fake or that the earth is flat.
It's worrying that people could be so paranoid and gullible. This sort of thing goes beyond ignorance- it's wilful stupidity.
Do they think that the Chinese or the Russians would go along with this and let the US claim such an accomplishment if it were fake?
Do they think that Grissom, White and Chafee are holed up on a farm in Paraguay with Hitler and Mengele?
As Bugs Bunny would say, 'What a bunch of maroons.'
