http://www.wtae.com/politics/cbc-rejects-trumps-birther-admission/41699920 It starts in 1973, when the United States Department of Justice went to court with a discrimination complaint against the Trump family business, which rented apartments across Brooklyn and Queens. Coming from the administration of Richard Nixon, who was hardly a civil rights agitator, the complaint was based on an investigation that found four different Trump employees confirming that applicants for leases were screened by race. One rental agent said Trumps father had told him not to rent to blacks and that he actually wanted to reduce the number of African Americans in his buildings. Three doormen said they had been instructed to deflect blacks who came to Trump buildings to apply for apartments. And it's been downhill ever since.
In Florida, trump the racist is holding steady at 1%....apparently his insulting black people wasn't a good campaign strategy...go figure.
I've talked to a few blacks at work and they tend to agree that we really have two f'd up candidates to choose from. I don't know but I think the media favored Trump winning the Republican nod so Hillary would have a cakewalk in the general election. If so they may have made the biggest mistake in liberal media history.
I really never thought it would be possible for a Republican to do worse among Black-American voters than McCain and Romney did, due to the (then) unique nature of the elections, but I may be wrong. Donald Trump really may achieve the practically impossible and do worse in the Black vote than ever before for a Republican. The last time that Black Americans gave a Republican at least a good looking over was with Gerald R. Ford in 1976, a decent man who ran a campagn based on decency. He got about 18% of the Black vote that year, but it has been downhill ever since. Poor GOP, it just doesn't get it.....
The media is under reporting his support in the black community. Black folk have had enough of empty promises. They're finally realizing the left has long had them under their thumb for their own political gain.
No, the media is not doing that. Not by a long shot. But nice try, though. Better luck to you next time.
I see the black vote as a mix of two issues. On the one side, they have some very legitimate criticisms. The drug war for instance imprison a whole lot of blacks for victimless crimes. There are without doubt some (*)(*)(*)(*)ing detestable cops out there who most certainly are racially motivated. On the other, the vast majority of cops are just normal people who do not racially harass blacks. Whenever government takes from one group and gives to another, that second group will support that government.
