Only one week and Trump has already shut off the page of the White House website dedicated to Women's Rights, and ordered government scientists working in the Environmental Protection Agency to stop publishing scientific evidence supportive of Global Warming. Trump personally called the head of the Nat'l Park Service and attacked him for publishing aerial photos of the inaugurations of 2009 and 2017, because they showed larger crowds for Obama's ceremony than Trump's. Add to this a constant barrage of attacks by Trump and his team against the free press in America. They constantly assert that the media is not honest and can't be trusted. Yet it's Trump and his team who continue making baseless accusations based on deceit or open lies. And, it's the Constitution of the U.S. that warns us to always protect and defend a free press if we wish to preserve our personal freedoms, for they are the ones who alert us to the perversions of the powerful. Trump and his Bible-thumping arch-conservative supporters may make noise over the 2nd amendment and the right to bear arms, but how will having a gun help them (or us) if our 1st amendment rights to free speech and a free press are decimated? The Conservatives are focusing on the wrong amendment and the wrong rights if they value their own freedoms. And, they're supporting the wrong leaders, for those leaders are the ones undermining the first amendment.
