    That is actually old news. This happened quite a while ago. And, no one seems to give Trump much credit for the fact that he was touting the vaccines while president before they were even available. He was always saying they were right around the corner while Democrats attacked him for pushing rushed vaccines. That fact alone shows that he was NEVER against vaccines. But, unlike Biden, Trump would never force vaccines on anyone but he was clearly touting them from day one. And, it is now clear that there were going to be anti-vaxxers no matter who was president, either Trump or Biden, as there have always been anti-vaxxers.

    First, that is a lie. Most of the unvaccinated are the young and minorities. Second, Trump has absolutely nothing to do with people being anti-vaxxers. He never once told them not to get vaccinated. Not once. And, he's the one who numerous times has recommended getting vaccines. Trump is no more responsible for the unvaccinated that the left are for the young and blacks not being vaccinated.

    I still shake my head in wonder that some people still think that anyone who does their own research gives a fig who says 'do it' or 'don't do it'.

    I don't, but then, I'm not a Trump supporter. And sure, following Trump blindly is a symptom of a wasted mind; in this I agree with you. But unfortunately, that's what millions of people in this country do.
    I am very well equipped to do my own research (quite literally, since I am a researcher, LOL) but I'm not talking about people like me.

    My comment was in reference to assorted celebrities and politicians who think their opinion carries more weight. Most are amusing, some annoying, and how sad that you immediately devolve to paint brushing a specific group that you don't agree with.

    We already knew this. Had Trump won the election it would be republicans who would be more likely to take "Trump's vaccine" and not democrats.

    The idiotic media politicized the vaccine and they never should have. This is the result.

    That is pathetic. 83% of humans were immune to Covid before it arrived. They have no need for a "vax" that does not vax.

    That some would actually decide about getting the shot by parroting politicians, media, and religious figures is proof some have zero understanding of basic biology.

    The lying about Covid is off the scale.

    Of course they were immune to it before it arrived: It didn't exist. Now this virus does exist in our ecosystem. And for me personally, I still feel I'm in a catch/22: I don't want the rare side effects attributed to the vaccines, but I also don't want to catch the virus either. And in the ideal world, scientists would have tested against even "improbable" scenarios(ie: that the vaccines are contributing to Delta/further growth). But I don't get that assurance either.

    Damned if I do, damned if I don't is what I felt two years ago, and it's what I feel now.

    Er... the original post was about Trump, and it was in praise of his support for the vaccines and the Operation Warp Speed. What part of it you didn't understand? I personally dislike Trump but I like the fact that he is speaking in favor of the vaccine. When he deserves praise, I do praise him.
