    There was definitely technical difficulties from the CBS feed, from the darkened lighting to the close-up that prevented seeing the whole building. Normally a close-up of the POTUS is perfectly fine, but combined with the dark lightning and that there was visually nothing else to see, that made it incredibly damning and honestly nightmarish.

    Add to the actual remarks, and it came off as a wartime address and Liberals even openly agreeing with that war time address. Here's the irony: Liberals hated Trump's Pan-America July 4th comments. So let's check the score card: US Nationalism= very bad. Menacing war time speech to his citizens= How presidential.

    The difference is leaders of the left have embraced the extremists on their side. Example of their embracing them is the bail fund people like Harris set up for the rioters. Thus, they are projecting their support for extremists towards us.

    The MEGA crowd is loud, have no authority over anyone, and as long as they are only loud, they won't do anything. They had their chance on January 6th and it failed, miserably.

    No, they are not a sleeping giant, but a dangerous tiger.
    They will react with violence when they lose again or QAnon, er trump, gives the go ahead.
    They will be dealt with swiftly but they will attack the USA again, just like they did on Jan 6, 2021. MAGA crowd is the most ANTI American crowd since the traitor south tried to leave the USA.

    If they do commit violence, law enforcement will deal with them again. I do think most is just thumping their chest online to get a rile up of people. But the amount of violence will be far fewer than last time, more obvious for law enforcement to intercept their messages, and so forth.

    When I started reading this forum not long ago I had no opinions about US politics other than what Trump brought to the European table.
    Read Trump's speech again.
    It is PURE emotional rhetoric with NO factual content. It is called rabble rousing, appealing to the converted . It avoided serious issues. Much of it was totally out of context of existential reality.
    It was like any troop leader giving up his men to go into battle. It wasn't serious politics.
    Serious politicians don't do rallies. They don't need the flag waving user emotional worship of the public.
    Start looking for policy and ignore the theatre. Trump knows the power of théâtre. He controlled it for years .
    After reading the opinions reflected in this forum I simply shake my head at those who are impressed by such theatrics...and I might add, poorly delivered. He has to READ the words...because he doesn't BELIEVE them.
    If the right got rid of Trump I can see a fair amount of justification for right wing policy. But he just destroys anything that is believable about that POV.
