Trump worshippers attempt to cast the President that over seven million Americans preferred to the Cry Baby Loser as both a hapless, mental incompetent and as a wily criminal mastermind whose global criminal syndicate consists of a relative who is allegedly a hopeless drug addict. The two have been masterful in concealing the billions they have accrued in their sordid international machinations.

One might hope that the dead-end Trumpers would be capable of contriving a more consistent smear campaign.

Even amidst adversity, the President is accorded considerably more popular support than the Loser:

But there is no Republican controlled media feeding right wing propaganda to the masses?
Why are the RW always bragging about how Fox News has better ratings?

So if they have better ratings then they just suck at their job of drumming up support for the RW?

Better ratings indicate they are more trusted and popular. Period.

    So what?

Being trusted is not the same thing as being trustworthy.

Lots of people trusted Bernie Madoff...that didn't make him trustworthy.

Your emotional devotion to the Cry Baby Loser is antithetical to the rational assessment of others.

The Koch network now joins the Club for Growth, another of the largest outside spenders,
and several of the party’s biggest individual donors such as finance billionaires Kenneth C.
Griffin and Stephen A. Schwarzman in signaling their opposition to Trump’s current campaign.

The Loser is going to be very, very pissy.

If your being emotionally affianced to the Mar-a-Lago Lardass leads you to believe that the fat cats who had lavished their riches on the Cry Baby Loser were once smitten, but have now had a lover's tiff with their sweetheart, so be it. I suspect they are much more cerebral in their estimation of his prospects.

Are you actually swallowing yet another of the lowlife Cry Baby Loser's slanders? Watching the two authoritarian statists divide their party should be great fun!

It is a comment echoed in interviews with dozens of Republican party members, donors, strategists and grassroots leaders, many of whom say it is the conversation they are all having privately among themselves too — how to make sure that Trump doesn’t once again take advantage of a split field and walk away with the Republican nomination, costing the party not just the presidency but a chance to retake the Senate and hold on to the House.

Just this week, both the Koch Brothers-affiliated Americans For Prosperity and the anti-tax behemoth Club for Growth signaled that they were looking to rally around a Trump-alternative. And with the Iowa Caucus now just 11 months away, party insiders say that this question — how to stop Trump — is the one they need to find an answer to before too many contenders start piling into the race...

“I don’t think it is fair to call Donald Trump a damaged candidate,” said Eric Levine, a top GOP fundraiser who has been calling on the party to move on from Trump since the 2020 election and the uprising at the Capitol. “He is a metastasizing cancer who if he is not stopped is going to destroy the party. Donald Trump is a loser. He is the first president since Hoover to lose the House, the Senate and the presidency in a single term.

The specter of President Biden again whipping the Loser's big, flabby butt is a nightmare for Republicans.

They are going to duke it out until the general at which point the republican party will all vote for the winner. At the end of the day, I don't think Biden has much of a shot here.

Without knowing what will happen between now and November, 2024, I would expect the President to beat the chronic loser if Trump managed to divide the field to get the nomination, but the Florida authoritarian would have a reasonable chance.

Trump's lashing out irrationally at potential GOP nominees and his assortment of criminal and civil perils can only thin the ranks to a residue of his cultish dead-enders.

I use the designation for politicians who seek to impose their ideological dogma upon medicine, education, science, private enterprise, local autonomy, etc.

The GOP has largely flipped from libertarian to authoritarian in recent years.

They all do that. So I guess we've always had authoritarians and always will.

The morbid allure of watching Trump writhing and lashing out hysterically at Republicans is hardly surprising.

I have no idea whether Republicans can handle the festering Trumpery that befouls their Party.

Authoritarians transferring their weird worship to Trump's nemesis will only increase Trump's mindless rage.

... Chris Christie says Donald Trump "can't win a general election" — as evidenced by his failure in 2020.

"And that's not speculation," Christie, a former Trump supporter, said ... "That's based upon the polling that I was privy to pre-the 2020 election and what we saw actually happen in the 2020 election. And it's only gotten worse since then."

Christie said that the failure of Trump-endorsed candidates in the 2022 midterm elections is further proof that support for the former president is eroding.

"We could go through the entire list — loser, loser, loser, loser — and I think Republicans are recognizing that," Christie said of Republicans like Blake Masters, Kari Lake and Doug Mastriano — all of whom lost their races in 2022.

... Christie noted those Republicans were both endorsed by Trump and echoed his false claims that the 2020 election was rigged against him.
